Inactiveto start I am hosting through yahoo. I think the main problem is when I’m trying to upload the necessary files through my ftp program. I know on the phpbb tutorial, they are using CuteFTP while I am using SmartFTP. Its the same but certain files arent being uploaded the same as how it shows on the site on cuteftp.
It seems like I am doing it all correctly, but when its supposed to be done and uploaded onto my site, I have nothing.

InactiveDaniel5r,
I am building my promotion site too, 65.25% is done, you are a little bit ahead of me…:rollover:
I tried the phpBB forum too, but it is too complicated for me. I tried different software, I picked a easy one for a dummy user like me, tried it free for 7 days.
Also they offer AFFILIATE program too, please let me make some money, click the bottom page ICON from my forum page.Have fun,
Komodo

InactiveDaniel,
Files have to be transferred in whatever type file they are binary or ascii. SmartFTP allows you to choose either ascii, binary or auto. Use the auto selection. It will determine how to transfer.

InactiveHey guys, so here’s an update. I’ve figured out how to upload everything and I’m confident its been done correctly. Now the only issue, is pointing my browser to the install.php file. I’ve tried probably every path and I just get that the page cannot be found. I think this is a simple step but is preventing me from going further.
Thanks

InactiveIt really depends upon where you uploaded the files to.. There is a lot of information missing which would probably help one of us to help you.
Please let us know the folder structure or something that gives us enough information to help you.

InactiveHey, I’m moving along pretty good now. I’ve got it all installed and uploaded, except now I can’t access my administration panel. I am pointing it to the correct URL but it keeps taking me to my database control panel. So once again I am lost.
