InactiveAgreed.
I bought some PR6 text links from a site about old TV shows once, and it was a waste of money. I received no additional traffic, and my PR stayed the same.
Newbie mistake — never again.
Links from unrelated sites generally won’t “hurt” your site; they just won’t do anything to “help” it.

InactiveI beleive inbounds link do not have to be site related only if they are one way. If a website decides to add your link thats a good thing. But your out bound links should be site related.
So fo PR inbounds matters I would prefer gambling inbounds. But If my concern was for PR I would love the NewYorkTimes to inbound to my site one way.greek39

InactiveTalking about 2 different things. A link from any authority site will help, like the New York Times. Just any old high PR link from an unrelated site may help a little, but may not at all, and it is highly unlikely that it can hurt you in any way. I would say impossible, but I do not know that to be 100% true. To answer your question, the PR4 gambling site. Also, the link value depends on which search engine you are talking about.

InactiveDo poker sites and gambling sites count as related?

InactiveI think so, but poker to poker is better than casino to poker in my opinion.

InactiveI would rather have a inbound link from a unrelated site of a PR9 than a gambling site of a PR4, just for page rank. For traffic I would prefer a inbound from a PR4gambling site. So yes there are very seperate issues. There is a great example of this somewhere on this forum. greek39
