According to the iMEGA website their legal team today filed a brief in US Circuit Court in the US 3rd District (New Jersey), supporting their request for a temporary restraining order against the enforcement of the UIGEA.

According to the brief iMEGA claims that the UIGEA is unconstitutional because it violates first amendment rights of individual states.

I’m not quite sure why no one seems that interested in this story, but we believe it to be the best and most realistic chance this industry has at overturning the UIGEA this year. Three very smart people over at Casino Gambling Web researched the case, along with the brief released yesterday and it seems like an almost rock solid case, almost too good to be true, but we can’t seem to find any loopholes in it.

Gambling 911 reported earlier tonight that the hearing has been set, just one day after iMEGA filed their breifing asking for an expedited hearing. The hearing is set for September 4, 2007.

There some interesting stuff in this article surrounding this case.

Not necessarily disinterest, 86 ppl read the thread before me, just more observant than talkative I suppose..
