vladcizsolMemberWell after a long day which included a Valium mishap and a wild race through the Airport in Atlanta to make our connection we are finally here in sunny California. I have to say I really like John Wayne Airport versus LAX. If you are flying in to Orange County this is the airport you want to choose.

InactiveHey Lou,
Glad to hear you had a safe trip there. When you get back I am interested in hearing about the Valium mishap. Atlanta airport can be crazy sometimes to say the least. Patty and I have had to rush through there more than once. Have a great trip!:cappy:

ghurjhanMemberYea I live in SoCal – near the PAP offices in Irvine….and John Wayne is such a better airport than LAX, hands down. Enjoy the weather, it’s been nice and hot the past few days. The beach has been a great spot to work at lately, lol.

vladcizsolMemberHi Guys,
I am still in California. I will be back home Friday. Its been a very productive trip, but I have so many meetings scheduled its crazy. I have six scheduled today with the last one starting at six!Love the weather out here and the scenery. Me and Mrs Professor ate at Las Brisas in Laguna Beach and the views there are stuning. It’s on a cliff over looking the ocean and it has beatiful gardens and places to sit. We watched sunset while drinking Margaritas and then ate some of the best pacific/mex food I ever had. So there are bright spots on the trip between all this damned work

stevejMemberI had no clue that CAP corp offices were in California, I want to drop by one day; I’d LOVE to see that place in action! Dear Mr. Lou, please email me way ahead of time before you make your next trip, I’ve something I want to give you in person as a small token of appreciation for your great work at CAP :3eyes:
Also, once UIGEA is repealed, I vote for a CAP Spring Break on the nude beaches of California provided Arnold doesn’t shut them all down.
I would have met you at the airport in a limo if I had only known! — next time!

vladcizsolMemberHi Tarzen. Yes we have a large office in Irvine. We used to be in Huntington Beach but we out grew our space. I will be there for ten days every quarter so it wont be long before I am back.
We are also setting up a large production facility here in Orlando for CAP TV and CAP Radio so I will have new digs soon as well.

stevejMemberCAP TV, CAP Radio? Wow! CAP continues to blow me away, one of the hardest things we have with our company is co-ordination with long distance employee’s. Do you use software to keep everything in-line? If so can I inquire to what you are using? We have been looking at activeCollab and @task.
I was wondering what other tools you deploy? telephone conferences? one on one phone calls?
Hope you don’t mind the questions.
I know that you have had some cool interviews in your magazine before. I’d really like to see an interview of you in there !! like, how did you go from affiliate to super affiliate, history of CAP, etc….like when did you get the idea? when did you realize when CAP was more than just a forum, etc.
I think that would have to be one of the most interesting articles you could feature in CAP magazine… I have about 50 questions !
I bet some other people could come up with some similarly cool questions.Maybe you should have a thread started for questions for the interview, and the members can interview the professor themselves! the questions could be posed by any members here, and you could cherry pick the juiciest ones.
CAP has been a real inspiration for me. The forums, definitely, but also just watching the development of CAP over the last five years is absolutely mind blowing!!
GREAT JOB!! AMAZING!!
of course, I’ll feel stupid if I just missed this interview
has it already been done? if so what issue

vladcizsolMemberExcellent idea Tarzan
CAP is part of a larger company that is being rebranded to reflect what we do as a whole. We are heavily involved in media and that includes all forms. Traditional and Internet publishing, web communites like CAP, PAP and the new AP, magazines, conferences, ad agencies and more. We have experienced 3400% growth over the last four years and it’s a major challenge just keeping up with that.
Communications is done via intranet, voip, skype, salesforce, outlook and meetings. Our offices are EXTREMELY high tech with state of the art meeting space and more plasma monitors then some electronics stores. We are always looking for new ways to stay connected. It’s an exciting time….
