InactiveThis board is a great forum for that very reason. It gives us a place to let other webmasters know which programs are good and trustworthy and which programs should be avoided like the plague.
The older I get, the more I realize the wisdom of speaking the truth, and speaking it loudly.
I read somewhere that he who behaves badly hates the light.

InactiveI agree entirely. I think a lot of affiliates are afraid of speaking out because the program has the upper hand. If the program wants they can withhold payments, or cause ‘errors’ in the tracking.
I’m going to offer my personal opinion as to why referback’s policy was introduced, it might be wrong or it might be right but it’s mine.
Historically speaking referbacks largest affiliates relied on advertising and for the most part exclusively PPC advertising. Those same affiliates are now no where to be found. I’m sure that a lot of affiliates earning 30 or 35% commission off residuals are not sending any new players. This is an easy excuse to pay 20% instead of 35%. The savings on that are immense. This is especially true when the earnings are 5 or 6 figures.

Well I appreciate your admiration –
You all know Im a man of my word and when its time for business Im a straight-shooter – no BSr’! And Though you might not always like what I am saying, you can damn well rest assured I’m going to say it anyway! I totally believe in standing up for what you believe in – if you don’t no one will!
When I think something needs to be said – Ill say it! When getting irritated is in order – I will attempt to do so in a professional manner – if that doesnt work – WATCH OUT!
Webmasters should not fear repercussions for speaking their minds. Were all adults here and were all in this business together – we should all make the most of it “together” Now that’s not to say competition is a bad thing, but what it does say is that the playing field should be level! What’s fair & right for one webmaster should be equally fair for the next!
Now excuse me while I kiss this guy – I mean kiss the sky!

Guestexclusively PPC advertising. Those same affiliates are now no where to be found.
I agree, but I think its a mistake on anyone’s part to count these people out because the smaller partners of the big PPCs that stopped are going to miss that income and will find an aff program that DOES pay for gambling traffic and I think it will all even out eventually.
the business is still there, but its just in a place of stupor right now as I imagine many sites haven’t even gotten around to finding a new paying sponsor for their gambling search traffic; and some may be waiting to see who’s gonna stay and who’s gonna go;
are afraid of speaking out because the program has the upper hand. If the program wants they can withhold payments, or cause ‘errors’ in the tracking.
You said a mouthful there brother.
I’m having, er, or hope I’m still having, my best month with RB ever.
