InactiveOh, were to start, just one for now though.
Content/Promos/Info – I am mostly poker. How about going to a affiliate site and finding stuff you can use on your site as well as just stats. Latest promos, best converting ads, big events or whatever.
Some sites are good at this, must you have to go digging to get latest events to promote.

InactiveI’m with 4Flush on the promo/info/content stuff. Would be much more convenient to be able to look at the affiliate page and see what is running, what’s coming up and when etc.
From a stat point of view, referring pages and live (or as close to live as possible) stats.
Ability to create private tournaments
I’m sure i’ll think of more but it’s late and I’ve had a few beers so will leave it till the morning.

InactiveGood stats – click stats, campaign stats – traffic stats – what a lot poker affiliate programs are lacking.
And what everyone else has already said. sigh.gif

Inactive40-50% revenue share.
Credit for tournament fees.
Payments made twice a month.

InactiveTournament feeds and also details of players and games similar to what Poker Pulse does/did. Just stuff to help give more details about the rooms rather than just to same old, “I played there and they were loose games, good graphics, easy to cash out…” Of course any content related stuff has to be updated automatically.
And whatever you do, don’t make me download the software and open a player account just so I can get me affiliate payments.

InactiveI would also like to see what our players are playing. Are they playing tournaments, Holdem, Stud – this information is important for target marketing.

InactiveMore detailed stats are definitely at the top of my list. Although Absolute Poker could offer more detailed stats, they are the one program I love because I know the players names and can actually go into the poker room and watch them play a few hands. However, after thinking more about this question one thing I would like to see all poker programs do is to keep poker earnings seperate from casino earnings. Meaning if I had $10K raked from poker, I should make $2500 give or take and I should not have to worry about that player going into the casino offered in the poker room and winning which negates my poker revenue. I feel strongly about this and I feel that in regards to poker, an affiliate should never go backwards or be in the negative with the exception of a chargeback. This question has also got me thinking about the poker programs I promote that are part of a large group of casinos that bundle like IOG. It finally occured to me that it might be wise to open a seperate affiliate account with such programs just for the poker, but I am not sure if this is allowed. Poker commissions should be money in the bank and I will need to research these bundling programs to see if there is a work around. I would also like to see more content offered for us affiliates. These poker rooms are making money hand over fist, and they should hire a few knowledgeable poker writers to give us some unique poker articles or other neat poker content we could use. Fulltilt does an excellent job with this but they are also endorsed by many of the pros so this is easy for them to implement.

vladcizsolMemberExcellent ideas and feedback guys!
As you might have imagined the poker rooms are watching this thread and your ideas will help them to improve their offerings for all affiliates.

InactiveFor me the most important thing is information. This means two things:
a) Stats
This should include stuff like:– Who clicked what where when?
… to improve banner and text link placement etc.– What exactly are the players playing?
This would be great for several reasons.
For example content creating would benefit greatly, as I could write stuff that I -knew- the players (both existing and potential) would actually find interesting.– Overall thorough stats.
Without good stats, there can’t be trust.b) Communication
What Elgoog said
How annoying is it, when you notice something happened, but you don’t know what exactly or why? Is it that hard to send an email or two to the hard working affiliates? And how about emailing -before- something crucial happens, not month afterwards?Misc stuff that would be sweet:
– Fact sheet (like the one Red 32 already has).
Makes writing & promoting much easier and quicker.– Screenshots
As above.
All the cards available in a one pic would also be great. One could then cut & paste the cards into the screenshots to create examples or crazy situations, etc.– Credit from tournament fees, just like Webber said.
This would mean a lot to me at least.– Affiliate specific bonus codes.
They are something concrete an affiliate site has to offer and easy to sell. There you have it, my humble opinion.
