GuestHi NK,
while I don’t know about others here: I am a firm believer that prayers get answered more readily when people with nothing to gain: ask these prayers too.
as such; you have my solemn promise as soon as I finish this post: I’ll be getting on my knees and asking for you.
*to those that scoff, I say scoff away. the day may come when you have no choice but to ask the same and I also solemnly promise to do the same if requested.
sometimes the answer to our prayers is no. I cannot pretend to know why. Only say that to have faith in asking, is to have faith in the reply that comes.
Somtimes the reason for the answer comes in near future; sometimes not: I have been recipient of both.
I know not the reasons behind these outcomes. I offer this thought: as a big supporter of the idea of the big picture: though seldom my privledge to know though I try to find it.
To what logic/ reason is there for our lives if we only live the length of about 1/100th the time of a mountain? (perhaps an underestimate of a mountain’s lifetime)
seems rather a futile logic at best. So then there must be more than this life. If you don’t believe that: then relax – whether 20 years or 100; it is hardly enough time or reason to worry about anything.

InactiveYour daughter and son will be in our prayers. I know when things are this tough it is hard to deal with. Things seem so gloomy and hope is scarce. But there is power in prayer. Have faith and make sure to take care of yourself too.

As a parent I cannot imagine how you are feeling right now to have your son go to Iraq.No matter how old our kids get they are always our babies and we want to keep them safe I have a brother in the Canadian Forces , we are 11 Brothers and Sisters and we all go to church every week and pray for Gerry and God brings him home every time from Afghanistan. My brother has been there most of the past 3 years now . When he came home this time a lady hit him in the parking lot at Independnat store in Trenton and broke his collarbone by accident. He made it through all these deployments on the front lines and got hit getting a bag of groceries in his home town in ontario.God chooses our time for us , we cannot control these things but if we live a good life and pray for what we need and want he will take care of those we love. Some of my best blessings were unanswered prayers because God knew better than me what I needed.Keep the Faith
