I hear there’s now available ocean front property on the eastern outskirts of Dallas ;)

You could do worse than move to Vancouver :)

Better yet, move to Vancouver Island and enjoy the slower pace and beautiful landscape, and come over for a BBQ.

It’s just too cold there. Otherwise I’d like Vancouver Island.

That’s too funny that you consider Vancouver Island cold, it’s our hotspot here in Canada. Mind you it’s September and there’s a possibility of snow tonight.

Somehow the image code is off in most forums. I was going to send you a reaction of mine…

    Brrrrrr!

    LoL

It’s not really cold here at all. It rains all winter, hardly ever snows, and if it does it melts quickly.

But, I wouldn’t be against the idea of having a little winter home somewhere sunny….

    How long is winter?

About 5 months long. It generally gets cloudy and starts raining sometime in October and the sun comes out again in the spring.

Winter temperatures don’t normally go below the freezing point, except occasionally at night. Just cold enough that you need to put on a jacket and, sometimes gloves.

Of course, I live a stone’s throw from the water, (I can hear the sea lions barking from the house) so I don’t get much frost at all.

Summers are very sunny and dry, with temperatures ranging from 75 – 85 F. Summers are perfect.

Another way to describe the weather here is to say it’s almost exactly like Seattle. On the island, where I am, we get much less rain than Seattle, because we’re on the leeward side of the mountains.

Very similair to my weather too – we have rain from November through March. April is spotty. We have much hotter summers though.

I don’t like the heat – I spent a couple of summers in Oklahoma and – oh man! – I don’t know how that place got settled before air conditioning was invented. :)

I also don’t like the cold – I lived for almost 20 years in Saskatchewan, so I have paid my dues.

Nice and moderate – of not a little boring – weather here.

You ladies gotta be nutts to live in the cold like that! :( :(
I work in East Timor, which is a tropical south pacific island where the summers are 90 degrees and sunny; and the winters are 90 degrees and sunny 😎 Jim

I’m all for the warm stuff myself. Like Fergie, I was a Vancouver Island resident for years and despite this area having the nicest weather in Canada, it aint the Caribbean thats for sure.

Anyone here live in the Caribbean??? I’de love to hear some feedback on it as I’m seriously considering moving somewhere hot, sunny and tax free. (Canada’s overly aggressive tax system is killing me).
