InactiveHi Randy,
Those large whales are indeed rare but they do exist. I had a whale at casino coins who spent over 200k. I signed him early on and he kept playing until casino coins switched software providers.
I’ve also signed up several large whales for captain cooks and casino kingdom. Those whales would probably be the 40-50k kind.
Mind you there are a lot of fish who only lose $20.

vladcizsolMemberRandy there aren’t that many whales out there, but over time you can snare one or two. I have a few whales that have deposited over $50K a year so keep your harpoon at the ready, but before you throw make sure it’s not just me out for a swim :tounge2:  :rollover:
BB1 has a moby dick sized whale at Casino Rewards and topboss recently landed a monster that deposited more then $100K in one month!
It does happen….

Inactiveaverage lifetime value of a player for the casino is $800 – $1000
– i’ve got programs where i have players with an average spend of over $1,300 per. i’ve also got programs with an average spend of $250. i’m sure the players have something to do with it, and i’m sure the programs have a lot to do with it.
40-50k whales do exist. i can’t confirm the 1 in 100 reals thing.
it strikes me he painted a rosey picture. but i don’t think he’s lying either.

There would be a lot more of that going on in our accounts if it wasn’t common practise by the casinos to steal your players from your account after a couple of months of inactivity and solicit them for themselves, without your aff code. :madat:
This practise is the norm, and it is a huge factor in why affiliates are being squeezed so hard now. Take the use of predatory ads, the removal of your “lifetime players” and a few other unsavory practices I don’t want to get into here and now, and it spells diaster.
When you see established affiliates like Arkyt getting full time jobs, you gotta believe something is wrong.
To the casinos: you are shooting yourselves in the foot!

InactiveDom-
Do you know of any casinos who don’t do this as a matter of practice?
This sounds like a terrible problem.

InactiveUnfortunately I don’t.
I have played at many of them, across the board, and I receive continuous solicitations from them without any aff code included.
The ones I have talked to admit it.
They don’t even seem to think there is anything wrong with it.
In my opinion there is – after you say the player is mine for life, if you take him/her out of my account and place him in yours – in my book it’s theft.

InactiveHi Randy,
Will not happen with us, if you refer a player to us they are assigned to your account. We can mail them promos etc without aff code in it and it makes no difference, that player is yours and you receive full credit every time they play.
I will also not stand for them being pulled out of my program since I have targets etc to reach and that would affect me.
Please feel free to ask around and run tests for yourself too if you like, will not happen here.
That said, hope many of you will be attending ICE, I have my liver results back and I am good to go for yet another conference

You will likely hear from me also, soon.

GuestHi,
Prof was right about my whale, but I havne’t seen her in about 3 months I’d guess.
yes I agree about the stealing of players from us; either thru the means of out and out theft; or by cross-marketing them to death.
what I have done to help counter-act some of this activity; is to offer kickbacks to my players for sending me proof of their deposits.
Its then easy to look at the program and see if its stats are close to what you have figured; or not.
and you can feel sorry for any program that I’ve ever caught cheating me; because I scream from the highest point I can find until it’s a well known fact.

Guestto clear something up and correct me if I’m wrong, but in theory, once you sign a player then it doesn’t matter if they receive a disk or email offer with or without your code installed, because you’ve already signed that player.
that sound right?
However, if cross-marketing is involved; then it becomes important as to whether your code is involved or not; because the player has never signed to play at the sister-site.

InactiveRight, its the crossmarketing without affcode. Some do it while he is still playing, too.

GuestPS,
Garth; did you ever get the PWC reports caught up? last time I looked you were about 4 months behind.
I need those reports to be kept current to be able to seriously promote your casino.
Cheers
