Sorry, I usually don’t post such a negative, BUT…..
I tried them out tonight, was doing a review and thinking of posting them on a few of my sites.
Well it’ll never happen, never, never, never.
First, I’ll give a bit of a compliment, your slots are nicely designed, but boring, of course some will enjoy, so this matter is preference I guess.
Now the negatives:
1) Your casino changes my computer screen resolution :nono:
2) Your uninstall doesn’t really work, freezes up my PC, so now I’ve got a headache trying to find what you’ve done.
3) The table games freeze constantly during play
And, well forget it, I’m not in the mood right now .
Bottom line, Unfortunately you’ll never see a page in any website of mine.
Webmasters, I would test out this casino before freely sending players here.
Everything above is MHO from my personal experience so take it for what its worth.
September 19, 2006 at 8:31 am #706487AnonymousInactiveIs this http://www.hypepartners.com ?
September 19, 2006 at 8:41 am #706488AnonymousInactiveYes it is.
September 19, 2006 at 8:44 am #706489AnonymousInactiveThanks for the heads up. I saw them just this morning and thought the program sounded interesting, but this looks like very bad news.
September 19, 2006 at 9:41 am #706490AnonymousInactiveDalster,
your experiences is quite outside the norm. We have had thousands of registrations in the last week with very few problem reports. So many in fact, that we have just finished adding 3 new gaming servers, another download server and a load balancer.
Let me address your points one by one.
1) Your casino changes my computer screen resolution
This is only in fullscreen mode. Something which every fullscreen app will do unless; A) The fullscreen resolution is the same as your native one or The app offers multiple fullscreen resolution options.
2) Your uninstall doesn’t really work, freezes up my PC, so now I’ve got a headache trying to find what you’ve done.
The uninstall is in the START MENU under ‘uninstall hype’.
I have just run an install and uninstall on 4 different PC’s. I didn’t get any crashes. Furthermore we installed the software on 3 laptops and a kiosk system at CAC and the uninstalls worked perfectly well.
Base on our QA testing, and my personal experience, I would suggest yours is an isolated case, nevertheless, I would really like to know your system configuration so we can make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
FYI. I just installed and uninstalled on 4 totally different PC’s here in the office, from an ageing dell desktop to my brand-new dualcore laptop.
All uninstalls went completely without incident.
3) The table games freeze constantly during play
We have not had this happen, even when testing on dialup PC’s.
The gaming server has been running at a max of 20% load all weekend.
The DOWNLOAD server was maxxed out, but that’s a completely different cluster than the gaming servers.
Yours really appears to be an isolated case. We have tested extensively, and also have thousands of active players, very very few of which report problems. More often than not it is local connectivity issues.
That being said, this is new software, and we would be interested in knowing more about your configuration so as to properly diagnose the source of problems.
To anyone reading this, and the original poster, Dalster44, this experience is exceptional, and I have certainly not heard of anyone crashing their system doing an uninstall yet.
Furthermore the gaming servers are on an extremely fast cluster at MIT, and certainly not prone to the ‘lag’ you are reporting.
I would encourage anyone considering promoting us to check it out for yourself, as this is certainly an unusual and isolated incident.
My contact details are in my sig.
If you’d like to call me direct from Canada, please do. Our closest number is (202) 657-4973 country code +1, United States.

1 more thing
people still say
they cant get the casino running
if the have windows 2000September 19, 2006 at 10:03 am #706494AnonymousInactiveIsolated? Thats possible, but your casino is the first to have ever done this to me.
As far as games freezing, this was especially true playing Roulette.
The uninstall:
Yes, the uninstall is in the start menu, it uninstalled but crashed my system, eventually I had to use my “System Restore”
I’m using XP
I’m glad to hear that I’m about the only one having problems, I wish your company all the best!
Like I said, this was my experience, I just suggested for others to test it out first before advertising this to their players.
Another thing, on your Video Poker Deuces Wild, your odds say 125 payout for a Royal Flush, I suppose that is suppose to be for a Deuce’s Royal? Your missing pay out odds for one of them?
Find it hard to believe that out of your thousands of players, not one has brought that to the casinos attention?
September 19, 2006 at 12:16 pm #706501AnonymousInactiveTristin this is not outside the norm, I have many players complaining and I myself have emailed support, I emailed Steve and no response from anyone and as you can see I still defended the casino, I am not getting a tad ticked off at the lack of support to players and to affiliates!
http://p218.ezboard.com/fthewinningstreakforumfrm31.showMessage?topicID=1882.topicSeptember 19, 2006 at 2:07 pm #706519AnonymousInactiveThis is a new generation of slots and I was duly impressed when checking them out in Vegas.
Looks like we have some tech and support issues to iron out.
That’s to be expected when launching a graphics heavy new type of software.
I have a lot of total newbies who are not computer savvy, and these type of problems will scare them off.
Tristan, please check into this a bit more, the support problems should be easily remedied and be a first step.
And perhaps tech can get in touch with Dalster and figure out what about his system caused these problems and try to eliminate the possibility of this happening. Such problems are highly annoying and even if limited to a few systems need to be addressed.
I see this as growing pains and will start to generate reviews etc. in hopes this will be resolved by the time I am done and ready to publish.
I agree about the welcome mail – I too forget my signup details.
September 19, 2006 at 3:23 pm #706532AnonymousInactiveHi Everybody,
There are currently reporting bugs with HypePartners.
Downloads aren’t reporting correctly for many accounts. AFAIK it’s a time period issue, as the data IS being recorded. The proper affiliate tags are recorded with casino installs, and data isn’t being lost.Deposits are being tracked properly, just not displayed in the affiliate program at this time. I don’t know what the exact issue is, but there ARE techs looking at it. I expect the issue to be resolved tommorrow.
The stats are recorded with log files and then parsed to the reporting machines, so the data is not lost, or non-existant.
I personally find this very frustrating, and can understand your concerns. I would ask that you bear with us during these teething problems.
We did do thorough testing, and it is a tested and proven platform so I’m personally at a loss to explain it. I’m not going to bullshit you all and make anything up. When I know – and it is rectified – which is in 8-12 hours time… I will post here and let you all know.
I can see deposits credited to affiliates in the backend, so at least that is tracking fine. I totally understand you need downloads etc as well, because without those you don’t get a full picture of program performance.
– The win2000 issue has been logged and the latest release is undergoing testing overnight.
September 19, 2006 at 3:29 pm #706533AnonymousInactiveI was impressed by the Hype slots in Vegas, too. Very cool stuff.
I’m still planning to sign up, despite these temporary “teething” issues. I’m sure everything will be sorted soon.
September 19, 2006 at 4:49 pm #706541AnonymousInactiveIt is normal to have these issues when launching proprietary software.
I hope it all gets fixed asap.
September 19, 2006 at 5:59 pm #706552AnonymousInactiveThanks for the update! I was real impressed with the software in Vegas, and it just would not be right if at least 1 thing didn’t go wrong on the launch…lol I am sure your team will have it all fixed in no time.

Haha, let’s hope that’s an error in the paytable graphic and not the game!
Jacks and Better has a full paytable displaying, but it’s pretty awful – 8/5 on full house/flush, but even worse it pays only 1250 for a royal flush versus the normal 4000. This gives the JOB game a return of 96%, compared to the full-pay 99.5% or the normal 8/5 return of 98%.
I guess this is good for the casino and for affils in the short term – JOB will earn from players as well as slots does – but in the long term I fear that you won’t get any real VP players, and even the occasional VP players will notice that they are being significantly shortchanged versus every other VP game on the ‘net.
The software installed and uninstalled ok for me, but I found a few annoyances:
1. Why the min 8 chars on password? My ‘standard’ password is 6 chars, and I resent having to use a longer one. As a real player this might even make me not bother with your site. My 6 char pass is quite unguessable enough, 8 is overkill
2. As other users said, the username issue is weird – it doesn’t actually tell you your username anywhere obvious, just in the title bar, and since I signed up as a guest user it hasn’t even asked me for my email address (how are you going to try and up-sell me to become a real user?)
3. How do I turn off sound? I absolutely detest casino sound and it’s ridiculous if it can’t be turned off in the software. As a real user, I would not use your casino again if this feature was not provided.
4. The uninstall was completely silent – no confirmation that I wanted to uninstall, then no confirmation that it had done it. It just opened a minimised ‘uninstall’ window which then disappeared, at which point the casino was gone. I particularly think you should confirm the user wants to uninstall – they might select this by mistake then wonder where the casino has gone! -
