InactiveThere are a few extra details in that article that probably should be mentioned… he’s lucky he got off so lightly.
1) He also got charged with posession of cocaine
2) He wasn’t merely promoting it, but actively involved with the setup and creation of accounts, acting as a middle man for placing bets (he had a phone service), and from the sounds of things physically met many of the people he was setting up accounts for (he met the undercover cop in person anyway).
3) He also ran his own affiliate program and tried to sign up the above mentioned undercover cop in a face to face meeting.I think this situation is quite a bit different from regular affiliates… I wouldn’t start panicing just yet
