    heheh funny thread..

The CAC Idea was a good one..

It rather depends firstly on what you can do yourself.. If you’re an SEO expert for instance .. you wont be spending money there ;)

I do most everything for my sites the ‘free way’ but I could find lots of ways to spend some cash, if I had it ;) ..

I search the internet for places that allow me to add links, folks buy links from me, and thats definately an idea for spending cash… If ya find a nice PR6-7 site, I betchya you can spend it all up in one shot lol.

If you don’t write your own content, thats a consideration, lots of nice words for search engines to eat up.

There are programers, and coders (and maybe those are the same thing, it beats me ;) ) you can hire here. SEO experts.. etc.

You can buy new graphics, providing you’re not a graphics guy, they dont do much as far as improving ranking, but they sure are pretty! hehe

If you have a forum, you can hire folks to post in it..

I myself have never had any trouble spending cash, but those are some popular options here at CAP ;) .. Personally, I prefer a nail salon conveinently located to an espreso stand ;)

I agree with a few of the ideas

    1. Write content, get inbound links

    2. Come to Vegas for CAC – see if one of the affiliate programs will pay for the actual entry fee to CAC

    3. Buy some pot……. and by all means BRING IT TO VEGAS!

lol… well yea I would… but I live in Norway and wont get to vegas with $1000… :sarcasm:

Seems like not all that many serious responses. Entertaining for sure, but my advice would be to consider the CAC, hire a content writer to create press releases for the purpose of getting links. You can also look for sites that are selling links, make sure they are high traffic sites and you will get some additional targeted traffic that way.

I’m just gonna look over my expense sheet real quick and give you a few ideas. I’m sure a few have already been said, but maybe I can help out.

High PR text links are a great move. There are many people selling them in the advertising sales/link exchange area. I wouldn’t buy anything less than a PR5 link.

I wouldn’t advise buying banner space just yet, because $1000 won’t get you much traffic from the banners you can afford.

I don’t know what your site looks like, but if it has any problems you could hire someone to clean up the overall layout and fix any bugs.

Also, if you don’t know much SEO you could hire a consultant to help you with that.

You can write a few press releases, and submit them to a site like prweb.com or arrivenet.com. These cost like $15 bucks each, but you get ok traffic from them and good links.

Just a few general ideas, but hopefully they’ll get you started.

Oh, congrats on your first commission:woohoo:
