InactiveThe situation is different here.
Site doesn’t have much revenue on monthly basis as it was never marketed properly.
The site is a turnkey business for someone ready to put some time on it. The sale come with source code and full ownership of it.
Just received a bid of 2500$ so at least i know where i stand now.June 26, 2005 at 4:05 pm #667639Anonymous
InactiveThis is a tough site to project a value for. Since you are letting handicappers redirect to their own sites, it is debatable how many players you are signing up through the site – and thus it would be very hard to tell how much money you are making from the site unless you can divulge those details.
It’s also not clear how much maintenance is required – nor if additional sports can be added.
I’d say you would have a bit of a hard time on eBay since most people viewing the auction would be confused, unless they just wanted to own a site for the sake of being a webmaster.
Feel free to PM me if you don’t want to post further details here.

InactiveThe reason i haven’t posted everything here was the reason as the idea wasn’t a sales topcic, but more to evaluate it. I will post more details now.
To run the website no maintanace is needed. All picks, results… updating is automated from the feeds from VipSports.com. For additional sports it is very easy to add them as long as there is a feed for them. Still it involve some programming.
The problem is that when the site was finished i got involved in some poker projects didn;t have the time to market it. 6 months ago when site was launched and cappers were emailed to register about 35 registred. Now there are 89 registred that most probably find out from the other capping sites that link to our site to prove accuracy of their results.
The reason I am selling is becouse as with no time for marketing the traffic is getting low and cappers will eventually loose interest in posting picks. With a prize they are very easy to get back and post altough most of them are simply looking for traffic.
Once the site start getting enough traffic, cappers can be charged for delivering them traffic…..
I am also interested to exchange it for quality domain(s)
For aditional information please post here, pm me and I am also available on MSN and YM.

InactiveThere are lots of places where you can get appraisals. Here is one: http://www.buysellwebsite.com/appraisal/website-appraisal.htm
I have never used them though so I have no idea how useful they are.

InactiveI don’t give much merit to website or especially domain appraisals. I had a domain appraised a few years ago and they told me it was worth six-figures …..blah…blah….blah…and gave me a pretty .pdf certificate.
I couldn’t even unload this same domain on Ebay for $50. I think it really comes down to what the market will bear and finding a seller that is willing to pay what your asking. The only best way to value a website in my opinion is by looking at it’s exsisiting revenue
