DalgettyMemberWhich of your pages is ranking in the top positions for the terms?

InactiveHi HVDB
I am sure you have probably thought of a couple of theories about improving the results for casino bonus. If you do have a couple of theories I suggest that you test these theories through PPC campaigns to see if there would be a return on investment.
I too would be interested to know what pages are ranking for the terms around casino bonus as we can give you a detailed response.

BetsoftGamingMemberFor the pages that you rank for these terms you should look to display the various bonuses in some kind of tabular format rather than banners. Using a table you can fit in more of the relevant information in and not make the user feel like they are being sold to.
Using this keyword the player would expect to land on a page which shows special bonuses both deposit and no deposit. Make sure they see this to help convert them.
But again, the pages that rank for it need to contain the info that the player is looking for. Giving them specific information on the casino bonus rather than letting the banner try and sell it all and I think you should start to convert a couple more.

InactiveI always thought casino bonus was a great term to rank good for in the SE’s.
What made you think that?

InactiveI am not sure the terms free or no deposit really are that effective anymore to be honest.

InactiveI never really understand why portals advertise “free” and “no deposits” lines. I mean isn’t the point is to get people to deposit to our casinos, and the larger the deposits the better? I know it’s supposed to be a bait and switch but still you’re attracting free players and bonus hunters, not quality players. And once they realize that they must deposit or wager x amount then they move on.
I usually promote things that would attract big players rather than entice them with “freebies” and “no deposit required” catch lines. But that’s just me.

DFLMemberYes, you are right. Keywords like “free”, “no deposit” and so on they can bring a lot of visitors to a portal but they don’t bring real depositors …

My question.. how to convert ‘casino bonus’ traffic? Currently we’re offering several top 3’s on 1 page (welcome bonus, no deposit, comps points) and it looks like a not working formula.
To convert better for the term no deposit or no deposit bonus, please test the following
1) Create three separate sections for bonuses – no deposit bonus, free spins, welcome bonuses
2) Amend the sub heading of the page to No Deposit Bonus
3) Present the bonuses in a table with link to the casino in one of the columnsHopefully this would get you the ROI

InactiveI think the key to take advantage of this traffic is to present them with “exclusive” and/or “limited time only” bonuses. If you can drum up a handful of unique bonuses just for your site that offer more than the usual bonus, and advertise them as “this month only!”, change them around and make them different every month (and avoid no-deposit bonuses) that may work better. Everyone likes a bargain!
Plug! Can I also add that http://www.affcaff.com gives you (free) constantly updated bonus feeds too. There is now someone employed to check every bonus every month and update them for over 300 casinos. Will save you a lot of work – just 1 line of code for each casino and you won’t have to manually update the bonuses when they change.

I usually post all bonuses and promotions in my forum and blog, keeps things current and visitors coming back, at first its slow to convert but if anything it keeps consistent traffic coming back.

InactiveStill, without these keywords there would be NO visitors. A non-quality visitor is better than NO visitor at all, right?

I’d much rather put in 50 hours a work for a high value keyword than a keyword that turned out to be poor quality.
