InactiveOn my Politics Forum which is by far my busiest forum ( Averages 500 posts a day )I have a team of 5 mods and admins. All are volunteers.
On my casino forum, again it is just a couple of friends that help out.

InactiveOne good way to do it is to allow them an advanced signature if they run their own sites?

Inactivewell, the moderator I’m going to pay doesn’t have a site. He is just a very active member and very engaged in my forum. He often helps players and gets problems resolved for them before I even get around to read the board.
So I thought it would be nice if I pay him something. Just have no idea, what amount would be appropriate.
The forum is not huge … about 10-20 post per day.

vladcizsolMemberOur moderators are all volunteers. We did have a few paid ones over at PAP but there wasnt enough moderating required to justify the cost. At AP we had a paid mod for a while too and we paid her $500 every two weeks, but she also contributed articles and blog posts.

If you have an active forum, many quality posters would likely be one for free, if you asked. And if you do not have an active forum, you probably do not need a moderator.February 28, 2007 at 12:42 pm #728964Anonymous
InactiveIn my completely unbiased opinion moderators should be paid 90% of all income.

InactiveI have a forum about pet ferrets which has over 1000 members and approx. 500 posts each day. The moderators there do it for free because they are very interested in being a part of the forum, and are also working towards legalizing ferrets in California. The forum is a good way to gain support and to educate.

I did that. They earned 1k+ per month from Betcris and got lazy. Now you may see im once a day for 5 min if your lucky. The biggest part that sucks is BetCris is now off the table as an affiliate for myself. I’ll never make this mistake again.
