A % of those players will stay for more than a month and should. At one point I believe average life time of a player was 6 months. Not sure how much this has changed now.

I suggest you choose programs with the best retention, then you will know the players you are sending are being treated well and are happy. :)

    I must agree with Krystall.

Not sure how long the average player will stay with a casino, but I have seen that there are some casinos where the players seem to return in greater numbers.

When you find a casino you would like to promote, definitely go with the casinos where there is a mention of “getting a bonus every month”.

The reason I say this is that this is one of the first indications that people will actually put some effort into retaining their players after the first time they play.

The list of affiliate programs listed here as certified, would be a good place to start your search. Have a look at the casinos they represent and then look at what is mentioned on their respective websites about monthly bonuses or something of the like.

Best of luck and happy player hunting.

I average three to six months for players.

Of course there are a few who stay on for a year or longer, and there are many who play for a week or less, but the average across the board is three to six months dependant upon the casino.

Hmm.. so this can mean a few things:

    a. I am beeing screwed
    b. They dont handle their business (I doubt that)
    c. I have been very unlucky to not aquire “good” players.
    d. This is just a fluke and the things get back to normal.

Now I have had this program up for 2 1/2 months and it has been ok until the middle of last month as the old players stopped playing and visitors converting. Since then I have had only 2 depositors and both of them new players. This program is featured here at CAP and I have been keeping their side, but now I am not so sure.

Ps. Prof – I will have the site done maybe later today so I´ll PM you then.

Our group measures players by the average lifetime player deposit average. This is average amount a player will deposit over the lifetime of their play at our group.
We also look at the ratio of initial deposits to total deposits to determine what % are actually returning players deposits.
If you are interested in knowing what it is for our group, you can email or message me. I can give you %’s and averages but not totals.

I have a few players who have been playing for over 4 years at some of my Microgaming sites.

I have players that are 3 and in some more rare cases, 4 years playing (Microgaming softwares) .

Currently the best programs in terms of retention for me have been Zodiac (due to poor performance by the other CR sites; I’m now going to be using Zodiac in place of CR when I talk, because they’ve been really the only casino of the bunch to ever produce for me) and Wagershare has done very well with keeping my whales playing every month (tip of the hat to Tim and Brent).

I’ve just landed a whale at Allslots so I will be keeping a close eye on them to see how they do with retention. So far, so good, this will be going on the second month and I will let everyone know how long Allslots can keep the whale playing.

At this point of my portal “career”, I’ve come to the conclusion that retention of the big players is paramount – much more so than conversion ratios.

But of course, when in doubt; always just look at the bottom line for the most accurate meter on the worthyiness of any program. That will never lie to you and its impossible for a cheater to manipulate the bottom line into being or looking like its more than it is; because any way they want to slice and serve it to you; when you look at things over a period of months, you still will know which programs are the ones making you the most money.

After almost a ffull year now of doing this I’ve noticed that though I may get alot of signups at each of the promotions I run, I tend to make a consistent good amount off a few people that I would assume are the same people each month. Especially when I know I haven’t promoted a casino for a while and still make a good amount with 1 player or even an increasing amount!

Prof may not remember having said this; but I remember when first starting out the Prof had said to me in an email correspondence that if I were successful at this: that I would probably make most of my money off a handful of people.

    He was right.

Forever the student, I bow to the master and am grateful for his words of wisdom.

I say this having just in the last couple of years taken on four new daughters of which two are teens now and I fully expect I will be needing some advice from him in some aspect to dealing with all the boys that come around (I wouldn’t mind it so much but they could eat a side of beef in a single setting and worse… they keep playing with my toys) :)

Now if he can tell me how to run off potential boyfriends and “friends” that aren’t boyfriends from teenage girls…

2 girls, ages 6 and 2, a boy age 1, and 1 girl on the way. I think I may keep Prof’s phone number handy myself.

Tips on teenage daughters (and early 20s)

1.) Boys must be gainfully employed. Verify this by asking them what they do and probe down. If they are bums move to step four immediately.

    2) See what kind of vehicle they are driving and ensure its not parents car or borrowed or stolen. If it’s beat to shit move to step four immediately.

    3) Show all prospective suitors your gun collection paying careful attention to automatic weapons and large calibre hand guns. If you dont have these go get them it’s part of the dad job. A recent target from shooting practice (man silhouette of course) is a nice plus here too. This step is essential even if they pass muster in steps 1 and 2.

    4) Casually ask the boy “Just out of curiosity, if you were to suddenly disapear and no one could find you, do you think anyone would make the connection between that and you seeing my daughter?” Do this in a quiet moment in the evening on the front porch. A good follow up question is “So, how much do you weigh?”

    5) Usually they drift off after step 4, but if they dont and are too stupid to get the point, get them alone and tell them you WILL shoot them if they come around anymore.

    Does the trick every time.

My twin girls are 1 year and 9 months now. So boys are the last thing I have to worry about at the moment.

Also–regarding how long players play. I have two or three whales at Golden Palace who’ve been playing for over 6 months now.

I’ve raised two girls to independent stage, and have one in diapers (when she keeps them on, that is – starting to potty train herself…..yikes!)

    Brag time:

One daughter is now the chief writer for the Bravenet tips newsletters – Jocelyn, for those who get the bravenet.com news. And she’s still a teenager! She is also in charge of content for their website at http://www.bravenet.com. Cool, eh?

The other daughter is married, has bought a house with her husband and just now is letting me tell people that I’m going to be a grandmother! — A very YOUNG grandmother :p I’m so excited! Now I don’t have to give Samantha a little brother or sister cuz she’ll have a little neice or nephew to play with.

I hope I remember my bag of tricks that kept the older ones on the straight and narrow when I need them for the little one.

Back to gamblers: I have a few players who have been around for a few months – but I haven’t been around long enough myself to say how long players stick around in average.

It seems to me that they should be around for years – when I find a casino I like, it stays on my desktop for the odd return-trip. Why would anyone not keep playing at a casino they like if they’re still gambling?

We have a large amount of players still playing with us since the day we opened.
A player becomes loyal to a casino when the casino treats them as loyal customers.

Our casino managers not only support high rollers they also act as floor managers and will look after every customer needs.

Mostly it’s manual comping, since it’s hard to offer buffets online.
