The layout is very clean and simple, but I would use a lot more imagery. I would create a poker related logo with a hawk. It kind of looks like a template that I could use for any site. I would customize it a lot more so that when someone looks at it, they know exactly what your site is about in the first 10 seconds. I am not sure what the leaves in the background are supposed to mean, unless they are feathers, but they do look like leaves. I would recommend a different background. I would also add a section on the right that was just Reviews that summarized all of your room reviews.
I agree, it needs a distinctive logo.
