Always click new posts – No time to look through everything – BTW say I didn’t come here for a month would it do all the new posts or does it have a time limit?

I actually notice that if I go to the forums home page, click new posts and sit there for awhile and dont read any new posts.. then if i then accidentally close the browser and open it again, click new posts.. even if i didnt read them before, there are none there anymore.. thats kinda annoying.. especially if i dont have time to read them all at once.
Does this only happen to me?
I notice that this forum is not the only one where it occurs.. It happens to me on other bb forums too..

I notice that this forum is not the only one where it occurs.. It happens to me on other bb forums too..

I think that happens because the new posts are based on the last time you logged in. so if you log in and click new posts, it will refresh after a certain period of time because the system thinks you saw what posts were new and read the ones you wanted. I’ve seen it happen on other vbulletin forums too, but i’m not sure if its exactly why it happens that way

the new posts typically work based on your last login. So if you hadn’t logged in for the past month, you’d see all the posts that were new to YOU.

today’s posts is a bit different, and i’m sure the name explains it all
