look up favicon and you will find it. I don’t think it works in IE, though, as I recall.
just make a 16×16 icon of ur choice in 16 colours( Recommended) then rename it as favicon.ico and place it in the root directory of ur website ( in the dir same as index.html)
This works differently in IE than to Firefox, but the jist is that in IE the icon will only show in the bookmarks drop down, whereas firefox will only show in the URL bar. Times may have changed since I was a web designer, however that’s how it was a couple of years ago.
