I tend to agree with you – traffic has remained constant but conversions have fallen through the floor.

My traffic and clicks are up there as always but income dropped from way way up there to lucky if I earn $200 probably below min to get paid!

I was considering selling all my sites but I know that’s out of anger and frustration and I would be pissed at myself later. I have been in this business for 5 years now to throw away all the work and knowledge that I have gained would probalby be devistate me down the road.

I owe lots of my knowledge to the people at GPWA and CAP without them I would have never made it this far

Cant help but picture that famous professor picture of the bald guy with that white creamy stuff on his head here.

Sure things are not as they once were, but I think some of these programs are using the times to makes those cuts a bit shorter; as they now have the perfect excuse to do so.

    Hi all,

most times I’d completely agree with you Axe, but since I can’t find a legit way of depositing myself, I tend to think its not a matter of shaving.

I think until a reasonable and trustworthy way of not only depositing, but also paying players comes into the picture, things are going to get worse and worse.

Most frightening for myself is the lack of effort shown by many programs for finding ways to pay players. its quite obvious to me that checks are a viable solution if done properly.

this may require opening new accounts on a weekly basis, but it must be done to insure confidence. All the deposit methods in the world aren’t worth spit if there isn’t a way to pay winners. This seems to me to something that nobody, affs or casinos, are worried about nearly enough.

But you think it’s lack of effort?

I’d say it’s even worse than that – surely it means that they can’t find any other methods, else they would.

If your conversions are going through the floor, that means the casino’s conversions are going through the floor too, and they must be losing a fortune. There can’t be anything more important to them right now than finding alternative payment processors.

So if they haven’t found any, I have to assume that there aren’t any; or at least, there aren’t any ready yet.

I do believe most of what Howardmoon said is true. This series of events is costing the casinos millions of dollars per day and they are probably even less happy about it then we are. I am sure they are ALL searching for alternate payment methods for players and thats critical for the survival of this industry.

That being said, I do think that in the case of affiliates getting paid their commissions things are not equal across the board.

Some programs ARE making the necessary effort and those are the few payments we have recieved this month.

Others are only making some efforts NOW after ACH has been lost as a payment option.

While a small number of programs have not made paying affiliates a high priority.

At the end of the day we will all know which programs value us as partners and which dont based on who gets us paid this month.

How bad has it gotten? Very very bad. Since october, it seems that it’s only getting worst each month and i’m sure we all feel the impact as described in the income levels that have now become the lowest imaginable.

Can it get any worst? Yes, it can get even worst before it gets better if more ewallets or money transfer services will follow Neteller and leave the US market.

Can it get any better? I believe it can and will get better.. But it might take many months of the worst before getting better.. It takes a second to break glass but can take many hours to glue all the parts back together.

In the meantime, more programs will merge.. more casinos will have to be closed.. affiliates who can’t make a living will leave the gambling biz for other markets or day jobs and eventually a new balance will be created..

It takes time to establish a trustworthy service such as Neteller from zero, I am sure there are people working on solutions right now but it will take time until such solutions will arrive and be functional.

As I speak EcoCard, ePassporte and eWalletXpress are still viable for players and webmasters but many casino properties are not in favor for one reason or another. Of course, they may be temporary as well.

eWalletXpress is the Navahos – so they should be OK, ePassporte is out of the Marshall Islands (where is that – British?). There is also E-Gold (UK) which casinos don’t seem to like. Not much use if no-one wants to offer them. Not much to say about EcoCard – rumors say they are a NeTeller satellite – others say they are out of California – what do I know; but I’m not advocating them since they may pull out momentarily.

I’m recommending debit/gift/prepaid cards, some of which allow withdrawals, on my sites and have a few players both January and February. This doesn’t mean I’m making even 1/4 of previous good times, but there is some money coming in. Surprisingly, I’m seeing some non-US players now which I never have before – being US facing.

The present problem is in getting paid and I decided I’d prefer my money to be held by the casinos for the time being; trusting them more than those processors who are jacking everyone around. This is very short-term and, sooner or later, I’ll have to do something. Wait and see for now.
