I think some people here are reading too much into the Frank Bill. IF the bill gets enough co-sponsors to move on to the next round, it will be amended tremendously before a final version is voted on. I think one of the main reasons a Bill, any Bill, to legalize and regulate Internet gambling in the US goes through will be because of the WTO issue, and they are surely not going to create another WTO problem by excluding foreign entities. If the foreign entities are then included, they will keep their affiliate programs because they will have to compete with the US companies that way. The US companies will then in turn have to offer a good affiliate program if they want to seriously knock out the offshore places.

Also, say the US companies come in and only offer 10-15%. I’d take that any day of the week over 40% of fake stats. At least the 10-15% would be of the real stats because their would be accountability, unlike the situation now where offshore companies can basically lie all they want about their stats with no harm brought upon them.

Ok, arguing without a base of facts it is.

Where do you get above figures from?

I would say it is 99% sure that affiliates will flow with the flow and adapt and survive because most online casinos will always use affiliates, and those who do not yet will certainly be doing it in the future.

Yes, these guys are still in a learning phase.

They are going to realize they need to be more competative to get a good slice of the pie.

No offense, but you would be stupid to do that. I know “Technically” speaking its illegal to promote them now. But, if Barney’s law passes and if your an American affiliate promoting illegal sportsbooks, your an idiot.

Ever ask why the US Gov’t has not cracked down on affiliates yet? Simple, they are not losing $$ because of us. If HR 2046 passes, and we send Taxible revenue offshores, in lue; of sending them to US license books. We will be targeted I guarantee it. I would not even doubt if the License sportsbooks will be the ones to report us. We are taking $$ from them and sending it to illegal entities. Believe me, if this passes and you send traffic offshore, at them min. IRS will target you; if not the FBI itself.

Actually I have listed the facts that US owned online gambling websites do NOT use affiliates, I am yet to see your facts on the opposite.

    Never said that.

say the US companies come in and only offer 10-15%. I’d take that any day of the week over 40% of fake stats.

There are plently of reputable gambling websites offering 35% and I am yet to catch one of them in cooking my books. I would never take 15% over 35%.

I think some people here are reading too much into the Frank Bill. IF the bill gets enough co-sponsors to move on to the next round, it will be amended tremendously before a final version is voted on.

Exactly. But it will not be amended to accommodate any casinos but the US land-based.

to legalize and regulate Internet gambling in the US goes through will be because of the WTO issue, and they are surely not going to create another WTO problem by excluding foreign entities.

They won’t. They simply won’t give them licenses based on whatever they come up with. I am sure that plenty of obstacles will be put in place so only a couple of major foreign players enter the market.

Gambling revenue of the US commercial casinos for 2006 was $32.4 billion. This is 327 Indian casinos EXCLUDED. Do you honestly think that the casinos are as desperate as the online casinos to offer you even 10% rev share?!?

Why the assumption that all affiliates are from the US? Actually a very small part of them are Americans. The customer base is whats from the USA.
