I read the above article and it basically is doing a lot more than just repealing the IUGEA law.
Again, its DOES NOT Repeal it. The only aspects of the 2007 Bill that will be affected IF this Bill does pass is Sections. 5384 of Franks Proposition which will undue HR 4954; sections 5363-(parts of)5365, which deals with Financial Transactions. That it!
The problem is: HR 4954 Sections. 5365 (B.1.a(1) Which deals with IP Blocks and 5366-5367, Which deals with Criminal Penalties.
Franks Attempt says nothing about these two sections. If it does pass in current form. All it will do is allow US Citizens to process financially to Regulated Sportsbooks. BTW, there will still be an IP Block on them so good luck getting there. As well, We are Still felons for Promoting the sportsbooks.
I guess this bill was supposed to be to good to be truth.
Does this new bill makes US casino affiliate a criminal (saw this opinion smoewhere) or what ?
Let I.N.Rose and Walters look over this a few days. They will be able to see it much more balck & white than we do.
I suspect they will also go well beyond that into speculation for impact and affect on our industry for casinos & affiliates. We have a LOT to talk about in Amsterdam.

well my layman’s idea of what it means is that it changes nothing really for us as affs. still not good to promote sportsbooks, but I saw nothing in it that made it illegal to advertise casinos or information about them.
what concerns me is the “choice to opt out” part for geographical areas near indian tribe casinos …… which is nearly everywhere or argueably so.
btw:
you guys going to Amsterdam … smoke one for me. ……. and take care of Int. Last time I was at a convention he didn’t have a good run. We need him around.
