InactiveI’m all in favour of online casinos being proactive with players who haven’t deposited in a while. It does, after all, make us all money.
However, the approach of Lucky18 seems extremely aggressive and probably counterproductive in the long run.
But and I think this is an important point : they may have chosen to hire some hyper aggressive commission based telesales type to do this work for them without being fully aware of the tactics being employed.
In my real life, I own an online lead generation business (not telemarketing!) but I’ve made this exact mistake. I hired some people who were really impressive in interview, had the track record, only to find they bullied my potential clients.
These staff are now gone. And I suggest Lucky18 do the same.

InactiveI would HATE to be phoned as a player by an online casino. I think it’s happened to me once before and I wasn’t very friendly. Even if they were calling to tell me they were giving me a free chip, I wouldn’t like it. But especially I don’t like being called so they can ask for money (to deposit). I do that when I want, on my own accord.
This is NOT ok in my book.

affiliategodMemberCirus did this a few years back. On Thanksgiving. Another family member answered the phone. They were offering me a free chip if I deposited. I tried to cut the call short but, the cs rep kept on talking. I finally hung up and she had the nerve to call back …twice!!
I was mortified and needless to say, had to explain myself to my family. Not that I have anything to hide but still. If you want to offer me some special deposit bonus, email me. Do NOT call and air out my laundry to the world.

Inactivethat is a big no, no in my book. I no longer play online but if a casino ever called me I’d boycott them.

InactiveI agree, I like receiving my offers in my e-mail!!!!!!! To use such tactics on a customer is appalling, are you that desperate for player’s you need to harass them?

InactiveSomething doesn’t seem to be right here. I understand that the casinos have to be proactive but the level of persistence is hugely different between that of players and affiliates. No one in the right minds would resort to such a counterproductive strategy with players. It never works 9/10 times it will fail. It is not credit card or lettings industry.
However this naivety is possible if these guys have outsourced this part of CS to a third party company and they get paid on results.

InactiveI would like to post an update here
Lucky18 has solved this issue and they also apologied on my forum. On behalf of Mike (aff manager) and Lucky 18 Casino, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of receiving calls from our sales staff. We analyzed the phone calls and found one particular salesperson who was using overly aggressive phone manners. This employee has since been terminated and the telesales techniques of the past are no longer in use.
Moreover, an apology is in order to the moderator of this forum for not responding in a more timely manner. The work load on Mike was too much for one person to handle, so I’ve since been taken on as another Affiliate Manager.
We hope that your impression of Lucky 18 hasn’t been tainted by these unfortunate incidents and welcome you to continue playing at our casino.
If you have any suggestions or questions regarding our casino, please feel free to contact me over email.
Regards,
Sam Malka
