Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
I have the affiliate manager who handles this account dealing with the issue and hope to have it resolved shortly.
I will keep you updated on what’s happening with this.
Thanks,
Nicole.

Just to let you know that we have finally resolved this issue and the content that was copied from you has been removed from the offending site.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention and for your patience while we sorted this out.
Cheers,
Nic.
September 19, 2006 at 5:26 pm #706548AnonymousInactiveThanks Nicole!
I see they wrote a new review. Why could they simply not do that immediately? Unreal..
Thanks again
Cheers
September 19, 2006 at 7:28 pm #706563AnonymousInactiveWait a minute, here.
Content is stolen, then asked to be removed and is removed and everybody is happy?
If somebody stole my car, but we got it back after we went out and found it and asked to have it back, I’m pretty sure further measures would be taken…
The way this industry is dealing with theft, I figure it’s ok if I go out and steal all the content I want, keep it up until if and when it is discovered, and everything will be cool?
Hmmmm….
I just don’t know. This happens time and time again. There just doesn’t seem to be any disincentive not to steal content with this approach.

Hey Fergie..
i am in total agreement with you and have made my feelings very known in various threads about this. I would love to see further action.
Unfortunately, and not for the lack of trying, it does not seem that anything will be done. I have resigned myself to this fact as we have been dealing with this type of thing for so long now.I am now just happy that it gets taken down as soon as possible so that google etc. does not penalise me again (Which has also happened on numerous occasions)
I would love for programs to take a stronger stance and stronger actions against these thieves.
I appreciate people like Nicole and a few others that at least make sure that the content gets removed.. so many other programs simply ignore my requests to look into these things.
September 20, 2006 at 9:01 am #706616AnonymousInactiveHi Fergie,
I totally agree with both you and Peralis that content theft is not okay and should not be tolerated…a great deal of time and hard work goes into writing content and to have it ripped off is downright frustrating (for lack of a better word…have to count to 10 here ).
I have in the past, closed accounts due to the fact that offenders would not co-operate and remove the copied content. Those accounts remain locked and earnings (if any, but usually not) are forfeited. In this case however, the affiliate removed the content relatively quickly and will be monitored.
We are currently looking into becoming alot stricter on this issue and are reviewing adding a clause to the affiliate agreement that expressly forbids content copying/scraping which will make provision for stringent measures to be taken against such offenders if and when the need arises.
Afterall, it only makes sense to look out for the best interests of our hard working and honest webmasters.
Thanks,
Nicole.
September 20, 2006 at 5:27 pm #706694AnonymousInactivePeralis, you run a successful website, so I can just imagine how often this issue comes up for you!
Thanks Nicole. I’ve known you long enough to know that you’re a very sincere person and Roxy is one of the few programs I trust. The fact that you responded to Peralis’s complaint so quickly is a case in point.
My comments were directed to this issue in general and not at Roxy Affiliates. It’s just your luck that it happened in this thread.
Here’s to looking out for the best interests of hard working and honest webmasters. :capmiami:
