My guess is that you’re talking about any kind of pages/sites while you’re surfing the web.

Try checking is you have installed some sort of toolbar redirecting/changing all the existing links in the favor of “their customers”.
This hacking was popular some years ago in cybercafes.

Hopefully someone can help me out here.

I let my daughter on my computer last night, this morning I get on and SOME of the fonts on internet pages are HUGE, some are normal. Most of the huge lettering is on links

I tried going to “Tools”, then Internet options and changing the font, and cleared out my cookies, but, that doesn’t work.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

    Sherri

    Hi Sherri! :)

Try to run a IE Windows update. Not sure if it will help, but I’ll search the net to see if I can find similar issues and resolutions for ya and let you know.

    Good luck!

Yes, it’s only on a few web pages, not all. I just did an entire virus scan and nothing was found, still getting the weird large fonts on some pages.

The weird thing is.. here at CAP, everything is normal. Yet, on other sites, part of the font is normal, some is big… mostly all links are big.

I think I will have to update IE as well, like you said Gamtrak.. I just can’t figure this out!

Also make sure that you have the latest Windows updates installed as well. :)

If you install Firefox as well as IE then that may help in your troubleshooting or atleast give you an alternative until you figure out what the problem is.

In IE go to view/text and make sure the size is set to medium. Something like this usually effects non pixel based fonts. If that didn’t work then you might try deleting the IE user registry settings. If not then the corruption is more involved and requires setting up a new profile. You may also test the website under a different profile to confirm that the problem is user based.

    HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Internet Explorer.
Delete the Internet Explorer folder and re-launching IE should rebuild the user settings.
Probably want to backup the registry first

Well, it’s def in IE. I have the Google Chrome on my desktop.. so, I opened that up and I don’t have the problem I do in IE on any website page.

I just tried the view text size.. it was on large for some reason.. changed it to medium and now it works just fine! LOL I’m glad it was that simple!!

    Thanks bunches everyone!!

You can stop this happening again by utilising a simple process called adoption. It’s 100% effective. ;)
