It’s good old Capitalism. Google keeps getting richer and stronger and the rest…well…we know what happens to them!

Well, they don’t. I have been doing a lot of research online over the last 6 months or so. All kinds of topics related to building, materials, tools, laws and regulations, furniture, appliances and, and, and.

Google has proven to be pretty crappy and I don’t know for the life of me how a lot of the results get in there.

I noticed it as well recently. Sometimes I need to lookup syntax and I got used to certain sites coming up. Now it seems all I get are results from college kids’ labs.

However, compared to Yahoo, Google (local results) is still much more accurate. I needed a computer cable, looked up CompUSA in Yahoo. Drove there and the place was gone. They had closed several years ago.

I always like to have a few facts before making an accusation.

Accusation: Google give higher search results to websites that display Adwords?

So folks I really don’t see Google trying to screw you out of position for the term “online casino” or any other term.

The story of duplicate content ranking higher than the original is a major worry I admit. Hopefully Google will respond to these allegations.

I wish it were true! Google giving a push to sites with their ads would make “sense” .

I use about . com all the time for coding info and I remember they have sponsored links. so I checked out “xxweightloss.about.com” – no adwords displayed.

they have sponsored ads and when clicked they do say googlesyndication in the link. Maybe it depends on where one is located on wether they’ll appear or not.
