bosshoggsMemberHi Brian… When you’re asking for habits… Are you looking for the bigger picture stuff like attending industry conferences, focusing on certain niches, and figuring out how to generate more traffic?
Or… are you looking for day-to-day working habits?

peppeoMemberHi Everyone,
Thanks for the great responses you’ve given so far. Actually, tips on either the big picture or the day to day would be equally appreciated. In fact, it might be interesting to see which one affiliates think of first. Thanks again CAP Community.

InactiveI feel that I could write an article about highly ineffective habits of affiliates. I know that I spend way too much time on the internet. But, most of the time you will not see immediate and direct results of your efforts. It helps to remember that building a succussful business is like building a brick house. You must do it one brick at a time.
Sometimes an important ingredient in this immediate gratification society that we live in is patience. There have been many ways to express this too! Rome wasn’t built in a day. You must walk before you can run. In due time my pretty, in due time. Wax on, wax off. And the list goes on and on ad nauseum.
While must of us would love to make a living slurping margaritas on a Caribbean beach, what keeps you going in slow and low times is that you should love what you do.
Here are some bad habits and attitudes. Flit from project to project without ever finishing anything. Do everything half measure (half ass). Quantity, not quality. Just work whenever you get a few mintues. Everyone else is stupid, you know best. Everything will fall into place eventually. Stick to ‘tried and true’ methods and never experiment. Everyone is dishonest.

That is such a great point. Sometimes, you just have to “grab the bull by the horns” and handle the dreaded project or task that you just NEED to get done. It’s amazing, once you’re able to get through it, the rest of your day falls into place!
