    Thanks Randy
Well its a very long story. Even though CAP was here first many of us were also members of GPWA.

I was a team leader there for a year. Dominique was also a team leader.

Krystal, Blackhawk, Arkyt, Captain, Integrity, EllenIng, Casinomeister, Marc Lesnick, Peralis, Croupier and Deaning (webmaster of the site for a time) were also very active members there at one time then for a variety of reasons everything kind of fell apart and a number of us quit while others were pushed or voted out.

Generally when a member was “expelled” they were really made to look bad publically and privately in front of their friends and the aff managers they work with. This understandably caused hard feelings.

Everyone has their reasons for leaving or getting booted, I quit because I could no longer support the management decisions being made, but thats water under the bridge. I won’t open old wounds, but suffice it to say its a sore spot for all of us.

We all put a lot of effort into what we believed to be an association of our peers. When things went south it hurt feelings and you see the remnants of that in posts on various message boards.

Now I dont want this thread to turn into a feeding frenzy on GPWA, and if it does I will lock the thread, but I figured since you asked you deserved an answer.

I do appreciate the response. I had noticed that there were a number of what I felt like were “catty” or “combative” threads on that board, and I hadn’t noticed anything similar here really.

So rather than say anything else negative about gpwa, I’ll just say thanks to you and the other members here for such a pleasant, useful, and helpful discussion board.

For a new webmaster like me, the support, information, and fellowship I’ve found here have been invaluable.

    Randy,

As most everyone will tell you, I am a friendly, outgoing person who always tries to be helpful.

Yet you will see me repeatedly taking a contrary stance to Cindy.

Nobody really has any problem with the GPWA itself, it is only one person – Cindy, who owns it.

I think the professor will forgive me if I post a link to another site here:

    httpx://www.bet2gamble.com/Forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=23743&page=2&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

You will have to paste this and remove the x after the http to go there.

It tells the story of many of the exmembers. There are a lot of members after that, who were tossed or locked out or just left in disgust.

I was loyal to Cindy likely as no other, yet I was stabbed in the back by her. She called me one afternoon to let me know that she didn’t like me to speak with the IGC or all the managers, it was her privilege as the manager of the GPWA.

She said she would have me voted out and to make a final statement at GPWA, explaining my acceptance of money from one of the programs.

She told the members that I was an extortionist. She told all the managers the same. She posted it publicly at wol. She had a press release waiting and ready that went out within minutes of her closing the vote.

It took almost 3 days and two seperate votes to get rid of me. It took a lot of lies on her part, all presented as facts. She turned some of my good friends against me by telling them lies about what I said and thought of them. It took putting pressure on some members, buttering up others. In the end, she still had to rig the vote.

The sad part is that many people ended up believing this about me. It is a lie. To this day she will go to programs I do well with and try to get them to drop me. Most recently this happened last week.

In the real world, she would be in jail for this.

This is my story – and only one of many.

    The GPWA today?

    Quite an astute observation.

Water under the bridge and all that Randy.

What is pertinent to your position is that yes, there is some good info in there, most of it came from the members here.

What was important info a year ago; is usually not relevant or important a year later when it comes to anything on the net.

a good example would be the Casino Coins bunch, they once were in my opinion, a step or two away from owning the online gambling world, then they changed to using a differnt software and I haven’t been able to give them away since.

so really the only things inside the gpwa that would be useful to you; are some of the website construction / tech posts, which I might add can easily be answered by some folks here, myself not included. But aside that; and the problem casino area, which I always check the past posts on those threads just to see whos been bitching about what so I know who to keep an eye on; everything else in there is old news from the people who’s opinions (I) value most. And like the example I mentioned with CC, you might read some post that tells you a place is converting 1 in 10 players and that each player is worth $400; and go running out and splash that casino all over your sites; only later to find out it had been sold to a no-converting, unprofitable place like golden star has proven to be to me (amongst others), but you missed that post ……

see what I’m saying? Stay current, and most the important info inside the gpwa is no longer current.

as far as any questions you have about anything inside the gpwa, they can be answered here; and you don’t have to sign any stupid papers to get your help.

for me, its not that i have anything against the gpwa, its just that it is old news and for me, hearing about it brings up good memories and a sadness like you would feel when passing by the local hangout joint where you spent so many good times; and seeing it had been turned into the place cops go to hang out; or hells angels; ….. been turned into a savings and loan; or perhaps a dry cleaners.

I miss it, and I could go there, sit in the parking lot, even go inside; but even though the wallpaper and paintings and floor look the same,

    the magic is gone.

    my 2 cents.
