Curious is your blue jeans guy going to figure out what an aff program is? It’s funny that you mention that today, I went to a street fair last night, wandered into a store, and fell in love… I’m not really easily impressed. I took pictures of products for a site I have on racism… More pictures for an escorting webpage .. bought flutes from India, hand made jewelery, a pipe for my best friend, because you can’t get a pipe with two froggies goin’ froggie style just anywhere.. and I don’t smoke so she needed it :P .. magnetic jewelery.. etc.. anyway I bought the store out :P hehe.

I wanted to add links to their site from some of the articles I plan to write using their pix.. they have no site! I can’t even imagine an actual business with a store and no website! :P .. I’m going to shoosh now because I think If this were any other forum I’d have to redrep myself for thread hijacking :P

I have a few clickbank products and also promote many clickbank products. I have a membership site. I promote amazon products, ebay, and a few other affiliate programs. Online gambling is not my main niche. I only have one gambling website but I do OK with it.

Now, I’m experimenting with forex, fashion, finance and education but so far, the results are disappointing. Particularly in forex and fashion. (conversion is so bad… it’s suspicious of shaving)

I get great results with forex. Make sure the product is good and your traffic is properly targeted. People in Forex are always willing to give up a few hundred bucks for a system that will give them an edge. Also EA’s sell great. I was actually thinking about programming some custom EA’s myself and selling them. Set up a site with some camtasia videos showing the EA in action and charging $500 or so.

    Hi guys

I use to be an affiliate manager in the online casino indsutry but recently moved over to become an affiliate manager for offerforge.com… Now to be honest, the basics of affiliate marketing remains the same, so if you are good at casino affiliate marketing, then you will be good at affiliate marketing in general… the difficuly part is getting to know the product or familiarising yourself with other industries…

from my experience, forex trading probably comes closest to online casinos so that could be a start if anybody is looking to expand into other markets.

Go to http://us.offerforge.com, if you sign up you’ll see all the different campaigns and the payouts… it ranges from mortgages, debt consolidation, online dating, online shopping, forex trading… you can even promote lobsters online… :)

If you need any information send me an email – junaid@forgebusiness.com
I’ll probably be able to assist you better than most other retail affiliate programs as i come from the casino background and i know what it is that casino affiliates want… besides money of course :)

    Thanks
    Junaid

Curious is your blue jeans guy going to figure out what an aff program is?

sad to say ….. judging on his facial reply when I asked …… not a chance in our lifetime lol.

sorry I missed your post earlier on L:

you know I at one time …… may still be there though asked my hosting that it not be re-newed …… a site called …… http://www.saveondirtbikes.com …..

I bought some of the bikes….. (minimum 10 at a time …..) in order to get in on their “aff program” …… come to find out …. they wouldn’t give me a break on the bikes sold online ….. Now what kind of aff progam is that? I bought the 10 upfront … which should have allowed me the discount on any bike after that .. sold online. make sense?

anyway …. so I go to a lot of trouble……. set up the site. write all the sales pitch……. and only after that do I find out from the “sponsor” and I do mean ” “………. that they won’t sell the bikes individually for the price mark-down I got on the ten lot buy.

I was like ….. WTF? you claim an aff program. You’re idea of an aff program is that even though we’re willing to buy the bikes in a 10 (or more) lot deal ….. that you won’t honor the profit margin …. meaning I couldn’t sell the bikes at same price as they were selling and then …… instead of having them sent to my house. …… have them sent to the buyers …… so I could make …… ….. ? ……. oh say a little bit of profit?

These jackasses expected me to compete against them … selling the same bikes …. at a marked up price ……

I was livid because I really spent some time on this……. thought we had an understanding …… and I’m not one to miss such a mistake….. in fact I went over and over with them on this ….. you learn to do this sort of thing when you get my age ……. the hard way ……

and anyway … at the end of creation of the site ….. after having bought not just the ten they required to get into the “aff program” but actually bought several lots of ten … because admittedly they were a great buy ….. and sold like hot cakes where i live … but I had a few stolen and it just soured me on the whole deal …… and by then I had found out the supplier wouldn’t give me the discount on the bikes sold online ….. so I was like screw this!

but you know I went thru all the possible mis-understanding shit with these guys before I went to the trouble of making the site. I made sure they understood that if I bought their 10 lot … that I could then buy the bikes at a rate to match the 10 lot buy … to sell online.

I wasn’t going to make much more than $80… maybe $90…. a sale. which trust me isn’t that much when talking selling dirt bikes……

and I’ll be damned if they didn’t turn around and be like . ….. well we meant that price without the cost of shipping …….. and trust me … I had covered that end. made that point. They simply didn’t want me competing with them on ebay and online …. because I’m certain they didn’t want to give up what little profit (per bike) they were making.

OOOOOH! I better stop now because the next things coming out my mouth will probably have the Prof all over me … and he’d be right.

    …..sigh. man i was ……. unhappy.

all that said…… I will turn you onto them if you need a deal on a dirt bike for your kid because it is a great deal…. but I won’t give them a public link.

The only reason I’ll even make the above offer is I love you guys. Trust me ….. I’m not making a damn dime off these ……. amateurs….

but they do provide a great buy… and are fairly good at support. You might not receieve a perfect bike…. (my experience on like 3 or 4 … of the ten lots …. about 1 in ten was imperfect)…. but to get a dirt bike that runs …..and some of the ones I have ….. been running now about 4 yrs or longer …. for about $500 … is a pretty good deal.

….. damn I hate saying anything nice about them.

BB1: that wasn’t an affiliate program. That was a wholesaler. Huge difference. You should never have to buy anything or spend any money to join an affiliate program. If they had a legitimate affiliate program then you could have sent traffic to their website and would receive a commission on the sales.

This should be a lesson to everyone. If a merchant is advertising an affiliate program but you have to buy something or pay to join then stay away or expect to get screwed.

    So right R:

I pointed this out to them when I first talked to them….. but I didn’t mind buying the ten lot. I knew and understood it was a different deal than most aff programs…. but (and I can give you their url…. if you’re interested, PM me …….as mentioned .. I won’t give them a public link) …

but anyway after talking to them it was “understood” that once I bought in … I could then send traffic to their website and make sales via that way…

well I think what happened is after they saw my site go up…. realized I was going to be competing with them … they simply didn’t want the competition.

In fact I could have ….. and did for a year or two … up the costs and still send the traffic straight to their site …. but I just never felt right about charging more for something that surfers could get cheaper …… IMHO the going and fair rate … somewhere else. So I never really even promoted the site other than it got some SE traffic .. and to be honest…. not sure how as many people found it as did.

but you’re right. a good lesson learned. I really thought I had all the bases covered and then they threw me a curve…..

good lesson I hope none others have to learn the way I did. Though I don’t see how I could have seen it coming ….

both are blogs and are very new. I am trying different approaches with each.

One is the old fashioned way of building the traffic and having visitors click the affiliate links. Sameas my gambling sites.

The second way is an instant monetization of my site whereby I generate revenue everytime someone visits my blog. While it isn’t making me rich, it’s adding about $30 a day to my bottom line. The blog is free and all I have to do is host adds with my articles and drive traffic to it.

Should be interesting to see as I increase traffic to the site.

I have been doing other turn key residule programs. They are solid and up till now I have left it alone and made a nice small amount. Now its time to give them my 90% till I see whats going on with this business. I also have some good ideas but need help. I am just one guy and my imagination is wild. So if anyone wants to try to talk and see if we have a fit to work together then please let me know.

Did you post that to be helpful or just to spam your affiliate link?

I would be willing to work together on a project if you can write. I don’t like writing but I can do all the technical stuff. If you can kick out 20 or so articles a week then send me a pm and we can discuss maybe doing a project together with a 50/50 split on the profits.
