winner.comMemberunderstand google?
is almost as difficult an answer as “why are we here?”
I think google can only do one thing at a time.
1) index pages – let them sit for 6 month-1 year and then maybe get properly indexed
2)make everyone go crazy about pagerank (an update is coming, an update is coming, yaaaaaaa) and still nothing happens PR=BS
3) Back link update (an update is coming, an update is coming, yaaaaaaa) and google still doesn’t recognize all the pain in the a$$ links you’ve gotten ( if they are still there or are now redirected to another page)I just put up 3 new site and the first page it indexed was the directory page (and then 1 month laster it all got indexed but still doesn’t show up in a search)
with google you almost have to throw something up and then HOPE it’s in the top 20 (depending on which index they have up for search then you might be nowhere one day and top 5 the next)
does that make any sense – I didn’t think so

InactiveYou’re right, that’s exactly my point. I don’t understand the frequency you might get indexed, or any other thing about google ways.
Another eg, Google won’t recognize links to my sites, but when using google’s webmaster tools it recognizes 68 pages linking to my site.
Please guys, there is a lot of confusion on this from my end and I believe from many other webmasters, so those of you that have some understanding about it, please shed some light on this matter….Regards

winner.comMemberwith the linking it is a wide spread thought that the link has to be a PR 4 for it to show up. Which is BS because my new site (PR 0) links to another site and it recognizes it as a link when you go link:http://www.dlfknvdovndofj dot com
I use to (and do occasionally still do) read google news forums and you know what? they are bitching about the same $hit they did 4 years ago – there’s nothing you can do
the most Important thing (I think) is the text link to your site – that’s what google is all about – if you keep that the same – that’s what you will get hits for (when you’re allowed get on the main search index)

Are you talking about the status locked that prevents domains from being transfered to other hosting? Because all my domains have status locked, both the ones indexed and non-indexed.Is that what you mean?

Hi Mark,
All the ones in my signature, some get indexed and some don’t, eg Casinoestorilonline is up for over 1 year, gets lots of hits from Yahoo and msn, and on google nothing. Nothing for the top two on the list also. Virgin-casino.net appeared indexed after just a week, getting hits from google. This is what I don’t understand.
Thanks
