Google has been so crazy lately, I try not to fool with it too much so not to get upset.
Sometimes my sites drop to 3, then they go back up…. nuts.
Google has been constantly reshuffling results since May and their new way of indexing sites seems to reward spammers and poor designers while penalizing previously well ranked and respected sites.
Its maddening to say the least. 😡
Many people are still holding out hope that Google will “finish” whatever updates they may be doing to their indexing process, but as this crap goes on longer and longer it may be that this IS the final product much to every honest webmasters chagrine. Only time will tell.
I am not making wholesale changes to my sites yet to try to adapt to the new spammier index weightings but this may become a necessary evil if we dont see a change to normalacy by next month.
IF thats the case and Google is sticking with this new format then they may ultimately loose the number #1 position THEY have with searchers as the returns now are generally quite crappy.
I sure hope they won’t force us to spam. I really find that distasteful.
