GuestGuess I’m not the only one.
Google is wacked. Thank heavens it isn’t the only search engine in town, cuz I’d be applying for a burger flipping job by now if it were. It’s as if google figured out what all my best keywords were and shoved my sites to the outter limits for them.

InactiveWell, I have taken a hit for a couple of sites. Lost some positioning for CFC and 30% Google traffic. Noticed more land-based casino sites and sites that have nothing to do with online gambling moving into positions. I hope these results do not stick. Of course it could be worse. :unhappy:

vladcizsolMemberYep, Google appears to have made an Algorythem change. I watched in horror as the same thing happend to me a year and a half ago when they started their original round of changes. As the Captain pointed out I think they will be massaging their serps to reflect more land based casinos and informational/news sites. I think this fits in with their overall strategy of squeezing out affiliate listings from their organic search results.

InactiveThe UK is showing major changes as well.
Can’t see my site under any of the terms I used to be close to the top of the serps for. Looking on the bright side, I’ve never ranked well so don’t get much traffic from Google anyway.

Inactivegoogle has been bouncing around since the last week quit a bit..
Hasn’t stopped yet from what I have seen. Older sites seem to be doing real well. I noticed my site that was built in 2000 is doing good, while others have bounced around over the past week.February 7, 2005 at 8:37 am #661242Anonymous
InactiveI haven’t noticed much change apart from the normal daily updates. Can someone give me a few examples?

Inactiveone of my sites that had top ten rankings in google for certain keywords now cannot be found no more in the top 100 or so but was in the top 10.
The site has not many links to other sites but didn’t have the links when the site was in the top 10.But no major changes in msn or yahoo.

InactiveSome of the sites which were top yesterday have totally dropped today, the results have been changing for the past few days now so i think everyone who has lost positions should ride this update out and wait and see where we are when they have finished.

InactiveHey,
I’m in agreement with what’s posted, it’s a matter of time before Google flushes all sites affiliate based.

In the gambling world there’s an outside chance on the US version of Google maybe, but not for affiliates in general. They cant afford to do that across all sectors of business IMHO or they will lose major ground to Yahoo and their competitors. Their interests are better placed in trying to make content relevant to the searcher, irresepective of whether its affiliate based or not.
Cheers
Simmo!
