InactiveTo be honest, the last month has been the most stable Google has ever been for me. I’m usually dancing away, but things have been so stagnant and stable of late, I am questioning whether or not all the employees have taken a month off for the Holidays !

InactiveGood to hear… I have noticed on several results a major dance so that is strange. Wondering is geo location affects what I and what you see to a greater degree then normal?

“Personalized Search Now Default” ??December 8, 2009 at 3:15 pm #806408
winner.comMemberGoogle is crawling my sites like I’ve never seen before. Somethings cookin’. 140 hits online day 15 hits the next. Search results that just hit my site 1/2 an hour a got not there, then back in results an hour later.

InactivePerhaps those of us who see no changes are stuck in the new personalized search that shows you pretty much what you saw before (stupid IMO)
It does this whether you are logged into your account or not.
Now you have to delete google cookies to see the real thing. Fat chance of our visitors doing that.
This could have a huge effect on visitor numbers, serps are not the same from one person to the next anymore.

winner.comMemberI see those .edu back – which I haven’t seen in a while. I think google has reverted to an old index, then the new one, then a really old one, then a one from 10 years ago, then the new one, then one form 3 months ago, then the new one………………ETC.
Same song and dance. As Rick Flair says, “Like it or don’t like it, you better learn to Love it.”
Back links, no back links, PR no PR, Buy links don’t buy links, trust rank no trust rank, flow no flow links, good neighbourhoods bad neighbourhoods, duplicate content BAD Duplicate content’s OK, multiple domains on one server OK or IT’s VERY bad, Matt Cutts tells no lies, Matt Cutts has no idea what he’s talking about blah, blah blah
If you try to figure out google (which I stopped a while ago) you will drive yourself to the nut house. Let alone try to explain it to other people not in the AFF or online marketing business.

“Personalized Search Now Default” ??You are right mate, I think this may be due to the new personalized search .
Simon, I am not sure if the real time results are live yet. There were reports today that Google in planning to launch it in next few days.

InactiveSearched from my normal browser, a new browser logged out and on a clean computer and got the exact same results for one of our primary keywords. Google traffic is also holding steady.
Had read yesterday on WebProNews that the personalized search thing was coming (or happening now), but like everything else with Google, no one knows what to make of it yet.

those were the first reports yes, indeed
but don’t know if that’s still validDecember 10, 2009 at 10:29 am #806465Anonymous
InactiveTo a search for ‘budget report’ and you will see a good example of a personalized results with live results embedded and scrolling.

arturs.vitolsMemberIts kind of funny because now that there is personal search, none of us are really seeing the same thing. Screen shots are going to become a lot more valuable.

InactiveGoogle stopped dancing 3 years ago.
There is no more dance. It’s everflux, i.e. chnages pretty much all the time. Dances were big updates.
Google will delay caffeine as to not impace holiday sales but they experiement with personalization. Brilliant.
Spam is more prevelant than it’s been all year.
