InactiveOK here goes will let a few tips fly ….
But after I am done this next week I may make some link trades for a bunch of domains …. First google has our main keywords in the optimization dictionary which means you do not want the words themselves to be that prominent in your sites.
Since this is happening external links are giving some of you a lot of problems …. IE you have 20 links in saying online casino and google is penalizing for this ….
Google has some penalizing with your titles especially if you have all those keywords in links pointing back at you …
are you starting to get the picture ???
Ark I was right a brand spanking new algo and that also relates to new penalties.
Page rank does not do a thing when faced with the fore mentioned penalties ….
OK now I will let you guys come up with a few tit for tat scartch mine and I will scratch your back ….

InactiveI think it is a new tweak / so yes it is a new algo, but I dont agree with the penalties …
Anchor text is rumored to be one thing google is considering, but I DO NOT believe this at all !!! It would be too easy for your competitors to directly affect your site.
Say your site is about roulette, well I could add a link to your site on all my sites with your target keywords in the anchor text and theoretically google would send you to the back of the line.
Google has always stated it is NOT possible for other sites to affect others sites.
I still think google has studied/researched competitive terms via adword buys and has created a search database of these terms to remove 70% + of the commericial/affilliate sites. Thus you see lots of amazons, google/dmoz directory, aol user pages, etc etc

Inactivehere is my biggest tip, trade links only with people within the same indestry, the implementation of the local ranks that seems to apply in competative indestry changes the rules of the game in linking, so stay theamed, also I am seeing people being panelized for off theam linking (that includes also spam links)

Inactivegoogle are denying it is a glitch and touting it as an improvement…

InactiveShort memories make for a long cold winter ….
The snow is a coming and this has happened before ….. fat up on holdiay food and tweak your sites. Its and algo change and its meant to keep everyone on there toes …. I was looking and it is really no different then changes they have made in the past. They want to drop spam out and let the rest floats back to the top …. Think about it, what does google like and always spider the most ???? News sites … what are news sites ??? They are what is in the news … New content, fresh content, change
Come on Y’all The new moon, change, a new cycle, a fresh algo rythm, etc etc etc …. No rocket science less you want to get to the new moon !!!!
Its perfectly simple, in order to keep people going and updating there sites change is needed otherwise even the most motivated get lazy after a big turkey dinner and this new index is just the motivator … Google knows that you will all go tweak away if they change stuff so there is no better way to get you to update your sites … Google bots of all kinds have beens parading through my log files and they are dancing as fast as they can, looking here, looking there, is it this, is it that, maybe tis a puddy tat! Sam I am, I like green eggs and ham, is it ham, no not ham, I think its spam! Bring me more green eggs said Sam and Ditch the Spam!
Like the coldest winter chill, heaven beside you, hell whithin …
and you think you know it well, heaven beside you ….December 4, 2003 at 8:39 am #642379Anonymous

You take the long road and I will take the short road ….The spammers are well out of the blocks and they do not take this personal, its just just business!
Tis just business and tis the season to be jolly ! I am riding with Santa Claus personally I like the sled ride better ….. Some already have there gifts on the way …. some already have them and they are pretty happy!
Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas!

InactiveOK that is all from me today I have lots of work to do …
Ark you are pretty bright, they will not penalize for a few links but the algo change does make it so you have to change things so that your site is relevant and you are on the money but you gotta change some things to keep it the way you want it and stay comfortable …
But as I said back to work for me most here will not here much from me now till after the NEW YEAR !!!!!!

InactiveHehe great hymns – those shall become classics

Personally I dont play on changing a thing – Google is going to have to change
If they dont, it wont matter anyway as they have “competitive term” filters in place.I figure I will give it a couple months to see if things change and or learn more about how others are combating the filters. Heck you dont want to change things too drastically as you will only screw up your rankings on other engines.
Plus as much noise webmasters/seo/online companies are starting to make, Google may wise up. Main Stream Media is Next – Finally Starting to Target Google for Piss-Poor Results

vladcizsolMemberI think it has to be obvious to Google that this last change really pissed off a good percentage of their prospective clients. Almost any other business would take that as a signal that it’s time to re-evaluate this move.
Unfortunately, they seem to be too arrogant to do that and instead are in denial claiming their “‘testing” indicates search results are “improved”.
I tell you what really irks me in these articles and message board posts is when some asshole who has lost nothing defends Googles change as some noble attempt to clean up the web and eliminate “Affiliate Spam Sites”.
A pox on the house of Google says I. :madat: :rasberry:
December 5, 2003 at 2:50 pm #642408Anonymous
InactiveGoogle kicked a lot of peoples ass on this one …

InactiveWell a lot of the defenders are direct friends of GOOGLE and thus their post on these boards can be considered SHILLS !!!!
ALSO, update on the PPC theme I introduced a couple weeks back … Google has just started placing FROOGLE links at the top of several commercial terms. They are also placing their news and directory links at the top of the serps.
Just the next step in their goal to make more $$$$$$ for themselves and forcing commercial oriented sites to buy into adwords and the their froogle product …
Hope Yahoo makes its next move fast and steps up its new engine. Also be nice to see MS’s new engine next year. Googles greed is going to do them in …
