InactiveI advice you to learn SEO, read SEO articles, participate in SEO forums, ask here for advices in SEO, because I’m not sure that marketing company will do their work the best.
The best way is to optimise your site by yourself.

InactiveA top quality seo is going to cost a fortune and I don’t think you would like what any above average seo would tell you to do with your site. Also, with the gambling market in flux like it is, the return on investment for the cost of a good seo may not be worth it as it may have been in the past.
And I think that the majority of your competitors did reach their current positions without investing a great deal in outside seo.

jonnybrandMemberThank you Bahva for your advice.
Actually, I’m already beginning to learn SEO because like you said, the best way to do it seems to be to do it on my own.
However, if somebody knows a SERIOUS SEO company doing a great job for a casino related website, I would be glad to have a look at their website (SEO takes a lot of time).

Inactiveyes, you must learn it yourself.
Most SEO charge way way to much and they have no real special tricks at all.
Just make sure you have
Original content
Good internal linking structure(make sure you link to your most important pages from every page of your site)
Write a good Title for each page (title meta tag)
Get as many one way links as you can with your targeted keyword in the anchor text.
Use H1 and H2 tags(although some top sites dont use h1 or h2)If you just do the above you are 80% there to being an SEO yourself.

jonnybrandMemberThank you Darko123,
I am taking an SEO course since yesterday, and I am working on H1 and H2 tags, and some other things you are talking about.
I didn’t know the keyword stuff in the anchor links.
So thank you for your help, I will work on that too.

InactiveA good SEO person will do it for themselves period..
Too much cash in a high ranked casino site.
Learn SEO – Dont expect steller rankings in under 6 months and dont do things to make a fast climb as they will almost always bite you where it counts.
Time – Time – Time and quality

jonnybrandMemberThank you for your advice allfreechips.
Although I was hopefully wishing to find a good SEO company for gambling related websites, I knew that the best way to improve my pagerank and website popularity was doing the job myself.
Time and quality like you say

biggygMemberYou have to learn things for yourself but you can get good SEO people for reasonable prices. I found a good person who helps me on my stuff , He charges 60.00 per hour but if i use him for 10 minutes i pay him 1/6th of an hour .Since i met him i have learned Dreamweaver PHP cms and scripts ,He will throw you into the fire and tell you to find your way out lol.But he helps me learn so much , in the long run because i am learning it will save me money. He also does all my hosting domain transfers etc and he charges me a flat rate ,not per site like alot of companies do. Just give you a ‘for instance’ today he sent me email and told me some of my images were not loading right .I pay him flat $40.00 a month and i have CMS sites , forums , php , ecommerce sites ,You name it i pretty much own it.I have 17 active sites and can probably get another 12 in this block of space i have.

InactiveI received an email from a seo company about google clarifying site maps & page ranks and other things : http://videos.webpronews.com/2006/12/06/vanessa-fox-clarifies-the-role-of-google-sitemaps/
Might be of interest

InactiveFoufou – there are obviously people here who know exactly what they’re talking about regarding SEO, and this is the sort of person/company you’re looking for …… why not offer to pay for their services?

InactiveI do SEO, but I would NEVER do it for anyone else. Why? Becuase I will basically lose money on it.. If you paid me $10,000 to do some serious SEO, I would have to spend ALL my time on it day after day and I would make lots of more money spending that time on my own sites… Thats why you shuld/must learn SEO by yourself… also I only work my best when I for at my own stuff/sites..
Basically the point of this post is: If you find someone who can do SEO for you cheap they will most likely do a lousy job. The great SEO’s work for them self :hehe: But I am sure you will find a good SEO with a million dollar budget or so :woo-hoo:
If not, PM me :woohoo:

jonnybrandMemberThank you for your help.
You are all right. Some people here seem to get good results thanks to their own search engine optimization methods.
However, handling a website requires a lot of time, and much more for those who own many sites.
So I guess I should learn SEO too, especially if I plan to create more sites later.
Do you guys have obvious and well-known tips for optimizing a website ? (like on-site or off-site optimization methods) ?
Thank you.
Thomas

biggygMemberYou also need to weigh the cost to get results against what you will earn once you get there. There are many good webmaster resources online for free.

InactiveThere is no special magic to SEO, it is just knowing the proper practices to follow. The reason there are a growing number of good SEO companies is because ranking for organic search takes a lot of effort, and the more competitive the industry, the more effort it takes. The best SEOs wouldn’t even be interested in talking to you since they are probably already working for the Fortune 500s and top eCommerce sites on the web.
That said, you could probably find some small companies or individuals who might be willing to take you on, but it is a very tough search given the nature of our industry, the $60 an hour quoted above is quite good. Professional SEOs charge much more than that, because they know they can and are can prove the ROI to their clients.
Didn’t mean to get off on a rant about SEO, but I just got back from the Chicago SES conference and those people definitely know what they are talking about and are doing it successfully and properly.
