That is good news… I’m sure I’ve read several times that South Africans gamble more of their GDP than anybody else.

This is good news :) Just wish the US could follow suit.

I was just in Florida on holiday and I stayed at a Business Conference orientated hotel.

I met lots of Directors/CEOs etc and a lot of them asked me what I do – I told them what I did and not one of them had a problem with it. On the contrary, they all said it should be made legal as a few of them used to play poker online. They are scared to do so now and just live with their friends.

This is very good news for those of us in South Africa as it now means we can gamble more money online without having to keep the money aside for a possible fine :wink-wink:wink-wink

South Africans are pretty big gamblers and this is definately a step in the right direction. We are now just waiting to see the outcome of the online advertising side of it because they were going to try and ban online advertising as an attachment to the new law but the Department of Trade and Industry in SA felt that this was unconstitutional so were fighting it – hence the reason for the delay with the bill.

We are keeping our fingers crossed.
