I doubt thats true but wouldn’t be surprised. Godaddy suck big time and 99.9% of the spammers and scraper sites host with godaddy because they know godaddy don’t give a damn.

Not sure if the simple fact to have a site hosted with godaddy may influence your ranks.
Maybe the quantity of sites in the same server, but it is only one more of theories in SEO forums.

One of the reason because many people are leaving them, is that they are suspending accounts with a single complain of spam.

I have tryed numerous times to get sites taken down that have my content and have failed everytime and have had to resort to other measures, i even got my friend from cpays to try and he got told to F OFF and the sales person put the phone down. Have a look at all the content stealers and scrapers, isn’t it amazing nearly all of them are hosted with godaddy.

Thats probably the reason why being with godaddy negatively influences rankings in google, there servers are full of that much spam and scraper sites that if someone hosted on one of there servers it’s already been blacklisted.

My own personal view Godaddy can go home. I dislike that company with a passion, far beyond words. I will not slander them here however, they couldn’t give me a free domain. greek39

I use godaddy for mail as i find it easier but the last 2-3 days we are getting calls from customers telling us the mail is bouncing. we ran a check on one of the servers to see if it was blacklisted which it wasnt.

Called godaddy one answer not our problem bye

Only place for domains i use is Namecheap and as soon as i get a decent web based email client then godaddy can go jump.

I think a lot of ppl used them was the backdoor codes you could use to get .coms for around 3-4$ but they have caught onto that.

The qusetion came up at the end of the talk “Top 10 questions about SEO” the very first talk on Wendsday. Well…. and the next day of the show I was not in the mood to ask…. because it was Beer time after the show on Wendsday. However I figgured that the entire show was not that much in favour of Godaddy. I guess the opinion in this thread is true.

Well….and its Saturday today, the first England Game is on and its Barbecue time….so enjoy the weekend
