One thing that I am truly thankful for this Thanksgiving is that I no longer have any links on my sites to Casino Pays properties. I should have listened a long time ago when a fellow affiliate (one of the largest and most respected at CAP) warned me that they were getting jerked around by one of their casino brands with respect to a player issue.
Here’s what happened…
In 2003 I was promoting the brands of Casino Pays on a limited basis. I never really made much money with them. On the first couple of days in June 2003 a player won a five figure amount and proceeded to cash out over half of it. Approximately ten days later I attended the first face-to-face GPWA meeting that preceeded GIGSE in Montreal. While I was there, Yael from CPays was relentless in trying to get me to send more traffic. I resisted and said that I had no interest in sending new players to her to offset a negative, as I had few players in the system to offset the winner already. I was content to wait and see if that winner lost all of their winnings back first.
Prior to leaving Montreal, Yael proposed that I open a second account with them and that the two accounts would be treated totally independent of each other. I would be paid on the new account for any players generated and if the other account pulled out of the negative they would resume paying me on that account as well.
After returning home I proceeded to open a new account. I started sending new players on this account within 2 weeks of returning from Montreal and I was getting paid in full for all of these players. After a few months I was not happy with the retention and player value so I removed their brands from my sites, with the exception of a few stray links that I never located.
Fast forward to the summer of 2006. My brother found an interesting offer at Joyland Casino of $30 free and he suggested that we should put it on our free money page. I told him that Joyland Casino was part of Casino Pays and that our previous experience with them was disappointing. Furthermore, I had heard from an affiliate that also is a rather large player that she was getting the runaround on a 50K win she had in one of their casinos. I was warned, and I should have known better. Because of the runaround this affiliate was getting I did hop on MSN messenger to make sure that Cpays was still going to honor the agreement not to hold the negative on one account against the other, as the players on the original account never lost the money back that they had won. I was given the thumbs up from the CPays staff member on messenger so I proceeded to relist them on the sites.
The CPays free money offers did not convert very well at first. We had a lot of players take the free money but few converted. In late October, however, at least one player started playing at a good clip and we were due a commission payment.
A few days into November I noticed that CPays had issued payments to other CAP members but we were left out. I emailed Casino Pays on November 5th stating that I had not been paid. On the 6th I received a reply from Adi stating that she had received my email and that she was working on it. On the 8th of November I emailed them asking them on what day I could expect my money. On the 9th of November I received an email stating that I should receive it “any day now”.
After some more time had passed I started having conversations about the matter with Adi on instant messenger. She brought up this issue of the 2nd account. Eventually after much discussion I got her supervisor (Yoni) on messenger and on this past Sunday, November 19th, he eventually agreed to pay me my money ASAP. I was relieved, finally, and thought this matter was put to rest.
Yesterday I logged on MSN messenger and I was really pissed off after this conversation:
adi@cpays.com says:
hi Steve i was looking for you yesterday and you wasn’t onlineadi@cpays.com says:
so my superviser decide that we do some kind of deal so the clietns will agree to payadi@cpays.com says:
first we will close all of your account so the negative wont’ effect you in futureadi@cpays.com says:
you will open new account and then you will get 50% for the first 2 monthsadi@cpays.com says:
after one month we will pay you 800$ upon positioning in the european websites you are builtingSteve says:
no wayadi@cpays.com says:
i have to show the clients that we ahev a deal and you prepared to work togehterSteve says:
on Sunday I was told I would be paid within one week at most and that you would close the older account with the negativeSteve says:
now you are reneggingadi@cpays.com says:
you must understnad that it is my supervisor decision and i tried to do my best in hereadi@cpays.com says:
it will only delayed in one monthSteve says:
ok… let me rephrase… now your supervisor is reneggingadi@cpays.com says:
and i’m sure you will show some results and you will get paidSteve says:
I am not to give you something to get what is rightfully mineSteve says:
why would I give you more to get paid when your company will not pay me what I have already earnedeSteve says:
that would be idiotic for me to doSteve says:
especially because I have little confidence in your company to pay in the future if this is how you treat me now. I would have never opened a 2nd account if I had not been assured that I would be paid on it and it was ok to open itadi@cpays.com says:
i really don’y know what else i can do here nad i think you should go for it we are offering you here fresh start with new account 50% for 2months and even if you will bring only one player this will satisfy the clients and you will get the 800$ tooSteve says:
the point is no longer the “deal” or the “money”. your company will not do what is right and I am tired of discussing it and getting the run-around. We had it settled Sunday and two days later your company wants to change the rulesSteve says:
I am just going to air this all in public and if you don’t pay me then, so be it. I am exhausted by all this garbage to get paid a measly $800.Steve says:
I am finishedSteve says:
No other program has ever blackmailed me to get paidSteve says:
I know it is not your fault, so don’t take it personallyadi@cpays.com says:
the only reason you wont agree to our offer is because you don’t beleive in us anymore but what if will make a contract about it?adi@cpays.com says:
that way if you will do your part you we will have to make our part of the deal meaning we will pay you ofr sureSteve says:
I want paid now too… all other affiliates have been paid. It is not just that I don’t believe you; your company has failed to do what is right. Furthermore, we had an agreement on Sunday and they have renegged on it.adi@cpays.com says:
i think that if we will commit to pay you by contract there wont be any problems and for you it isn’t problem to bring players so why not to agree?Steve says:
first of all… there is no recourse for me to enforce a contract; it is meaningless. I am not going to hire an overseas attorney to chase $800Steve says:
I am just done arguing. Either pay up or I will do what I feel is necessary in response.Steve says:
eventually this will consume over $800 worth of my time if we keep goingSteve says:
not worth the effortadi@cpays.com says:
that is not what i mean, i only want to give you way to be sure you will get paidSteve says:
even a contract does not ensure anything when we are thousands of miles apart and the amount is not worth hiring an attorney.Steve says:
ok I am done. I am going to the forums if I am not paid today. your company’s word is worth nothing to me at this point. the only way to fix that is to pay me today. the only way to repair that is to pay the money. if you do, then I will cut you some slack and try you out when we get the new sites up. otherwise I will go to the forums.Steve says:
end of discussion. I will keep my eye on my neteller account and act accordingly. This second account was never an issue when I promoted Casino Pays in 2003. In fact, they issued me a payment for $XXX.XX in September 2003 for the traffic delivered in July and August 2003 on the second account.
They also confirmed that it was ok to use this account earlier this year on MSN. I would have never sent them traffic to offset a negative. That has always been my policy everywhere. It has been that way since 1997, when I started my first site.
I can’t believe they have the balls to hold my payment hostage and insist that I give them more exposure to get paid what I have already earned. That is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard. They are screwing me out of ~ $800 and they expect me to trust them with more visitors? While I am at it, why don’t I go find a blacklist of online casinos and start sending them traffic too? I might as well go play some blackjack at Casino Bar while I am at it! I have a greater chance of being treated fairly by their crooked game! :kissass:
November 22, 2006 at 3:36 pm #716535AnonymousInactiveLast time i tried to login to my account it was locked and it said to email affiliate manager, which I did. I received a response “If you’ll give us more exposure on your sites, i’ll unlock your account.”
In vegas, i’d have to pay $100 for a show to get a laugh like that.

I must say that I am not surprised one bit.
November 22, 2006 at 4:38 pm #716554AnonymousInactiveCPays is ridiculous. They have been removed off of my sites since they started all this bullshit with people. They will never again be on another site of mine after hearing this.
November 22, 2006 at 4:38 pm #716555AnonymousInactiveBeen doing a lot of reading in this forum today. I did not realize how many people have been screwed by them.
November 22, 2006 at 5:09 pm #716560AnonymousInactiveYes, Cpays is full of sleazy, slimy, unethical characters. Stay as far away from them as you can.
November 22, 2006 at 7:30 pm #716576biggygMemberThanks for the warning . You just saved me a bunch of work cause i was going to ad their banners to three of my sites today.
November 22, 2006 at 7:39 pm #716581AnonymousInactiveYou’re welcome :hehe:
I am happy to do my part to save you future headaches!
November 22, 2006 at 10:36 pm #716611AnonymousInactiveYeah group really has changed. When they took over amber coast they brought my negative balance from amber coast . I had a positive Cpays balance before that. I contacted the affiliate manager several times regarding this matter to have the slate wiped clean . I was told it could not be erased , so I erased all plugs for cpays.
They even sent my 200.00 visa gift certificate on my birthday earlier this year.November 23, 2006 at 12:16 am #716620AnonymousInactiveCPays are the lowest of the low and have been for some time. I really hate to see them listed here at CAP because it can appear to give them some kind of credibility – they’re about as bad as they come and I wouldn’t touch them with a bargepole.
November 23, 2006 at 3:29 am #716640AnonymousInactiveThey sound like a bunch of jerkoffs , I learned its best to drop a program right away , not giving them time to screw you longer.
November 23, 2006 at 3:38 am #716643AnonymousInactiveHi all,
