kanoMemberDoes anyone have any valid stats about how these badges affect users’ opinion? I mean, I know that CAP, GPWA & eCogra are the biggest names, but I’ve known them from within the industry… How well do the players recognise them? :eh:

I requested a while back for the CAP seal and I was approved. I never got into the CAP directory however.
CAP Trusted Affiliate Portals, Websites, Directories & Blogs
Can anyone who works on this site please help me out with this?
Thanks
Just had this looked into for you by our site administration team – you should be receiving the code for your trusted portal seal via pm and email.
Let me know if you have any other questions or issues!

I don’t think they really help tbh, I am approved at CAP and GPWA but I never bothered adding the seals to my sites for this reason

Maxfalcon1MemberI think it is mainly for the industry and not for users, I doubt players look for them. I just got approved by CAP and will definitely put up the seals anyway.

Do you mean like for establishing reputation, so that operators that didn’t work with you yet know you’re a serious operation?
August 2, 2011 at 3:52 pm #817814
Maxfalcon1MemberYes, that is what I meant. Operators and other advertisers will take you more seriously.

kanoMemberSounds logical
But I wish there was some research that could tell us if they contribute to better conversion rates

misswiggMemberSince when have operators been fussy about who they work with…. The only use I get out of being approved is access to private sections in forums, I think its worth getting approved for that

Hey thanks, I have asked Rak to look into this and he asked the administration team and this was going months back.
Thanks.
Come on CAP people just please list my site. I am sure you read these forums.

Even if 1 person in 1000 saw the badges and thought, oh this site must be a trusted site then they are worth it. They do prove you went by the rules when you first got approved. Regular checks would make the seals more powerful, especially if you could get them revoked.

I totally agree, but what if it’s 1 person in 100,000? I think I will add them anyway, but it would be nice to know what you actually gain from it.

Hey bingodude – just checked this out for you. Looks like your portal was approved, but just wasn’t displaying in the directory because there was no “portal name”. I entered that for you just now, and here it is: Love To Play Bingo Affiliate portal Statistics – View Alexa, Google PR, Complete Rank, Google Links, Yahoo links, Bingo Links & More.

I don’t agree. I don’t mean they will base their decisions on the seal, but I did have some success of asking affiliate programs to pressure other affiliates who stole from us. So they were told if they keep up the bad practice their affiliate accounts will be closed… So some affiliate programs do care that their affiliate partners don’t screw other affiliates…
