August 18, 2007 at 2:05 pm #746033AnonymousInactiveAt last, Harrah’s is good for something.
Supposedly gamblers are more likely to vote Democrats. Yes, but only by a 3% margin, big deal.
One thing I knew: More Women play slots than men.
Interesting: As a percentage of the total population the South gambles the least. Maybe the bible belt folks aren’t hypocritical after all. Although I don’t fully understand those stats. Maybe they represent a smaller percentage because the South isn’t that densely populated anyways. I would like to have an average per capita expenditure figure of the annual household income which would be more meaningful.
Couldn’t believe that there are apparently 53 million casino gamblers in the US!!!!
28% of the population in 2004!August 20, 2007 at 11:35 pm #746200CaptainetteMemberWonderful post, John! -This is exactly the kind of info that I was looking for.

August 23, 2007 at 7:55 pm #746524CaptainetteMemberDoes anyone here have a copy of Ecogra’s large player survey from last year? Please PM me if you do and I would be very very grateful! :p
August 24, 2007 at 12:36 am #746559AnonymousGuestThis is just my own opinion but I suspect and by stats I’ve seen at some programs that offer such … that slots are most popular followed by video poker.
*for online gamblers. There’s no chance of counting cards at blackjack, and I suspect there are a lot of roulette players that don’t trust the virtual wheel like they do seeing the game in person at a real casino. Craps players are likely the same.
I imagine you lose a percentage of those players to distrust where as if you trust a slots or video poker game at a land-based casino …. you should have no trouble trusting the virtual sisters.
so then it comes down to the simple matter of whether the players trust to get paid …. not any doubts about the games.
August 24, 2007 at 1:50 pm #746617AnonymousInactiveTribun were you able to download it after all?
If not send me a PM and I will give you a copy through mail or msn
Cheers,
John
