I’m sorry to say… I really like the current layout.
I don’t think it looks bad, but it loads slow, possibly because you have so many images. (20 images on a single page really seems like a lot to me.)
Also, everything above the fold is advertising. That turns me off as a visitor – when I visit a website, I want to know what content you’re offering me.
