Hey all ~
Another change has run across my desk… This is from Fortune Affiliate’s FAQ’s:

Gross Gaming Revenue – Non-Cash Incentive – Progressive Contributions – Chargebacks = Casino Profit.Revenue

1-10 25%
11-25 30%
26+ 35%Example: If you deliver 13 new active accounts, your commission will be calculated at 30% of the Casino Revenue
Negative balances are not carried forward. If you end the month on a negative it will be set to zero from the beginning of the next month
That’s all folks Once again, though, I would hope that programs would mention this stuff to us after making the changes.

This as an attempt to decrease the commission payout across the board.

Damn, you must have a major freeway on your desk over there! Pretty soon you will need a Spaghetti bowl type intersection!
July 25, 2007 at 7:11 pm #743593AnonymousGuestHi all.
KW… you’ve provided so much info…. you’ve confused us retards (meaning me).
can anybody tell me what we’ve lost? I stopped promoting Fortune a long time ago but have recently gained a partner who is very big on them so I agreed we’d give them a try. I have little faith but would love to be proven wrong on my assumptions.
Now that said……. I’m wondering what has really changed? sorry to be so out of date on this matter. – and thanks for any replies

I believe that they are getting rid of their Profit Share model in favor of a typical Casino Revshare I don’t believe it to be predatory – but I DO believe they should make affiliates aware of it.
If you are on one of their other models – I would talk with your affiliate manager to determine if there is anything you must do and what the repurcussions might be.
July 25, 2007 at 8:10 pm #743606AnonymousGuestman I’m dumb.
still not understanding.
rev share….. I understand… profit share?
I thought that was basically the same?
sorry to be so silly. but not getting the dif.
wager share …. vs rev share ….. I understand.
what’s profit share?
July 25, 2007 at 8:19 pm #743610AnonymousInactiveFYI Fortune has classic rev share, profit share and wagershare (like Rewards).
For those people on classic rev share like myself the new deal would mean even if you are earning enough money for the top bracket every month from a few highrollers you would now be forced to send them 26+ new players every month to stay in the top bracket.
I.e. If you made 50k each month but only send them 15 players a month then you wouldn’t be in the highest tier anymore .Hence, this is a clear deterioration of the terms under certain conditions. Sadly the highest and 2nd highest bracket don’t affect me  but I wouldn’t want to be subjected to those terms retroactively if I ever managed to move up the revenue tiers.
July 25, 2007 at 8:26 pm #743611AnonymousGuest26? crap I’m lucky to send that many in a year lol.
But they’d for the most part be fair sized players.
that’s rediculous. NO thanks FL!
That pretty much cuts down choices, between me on this one partner.. 2 of the 4 places we’d agreed upon promoting (as the other one i won’t be wanting to promote is Gambling Wages after reading recent posts about how they treat players on cashins) .. and I’m having a heck of time selling CR because of its recent fall off which means we’re really down to just one place we can agree upon.
……sigh.
July 26, 2007 at 3:24 pm #743703EricrMemberHi All
There seems to be some confusion over the changes we have just applied at FA. There are 4 Casino earnings models:
Classic Rev Share – There is no change here!
Classis Rev Share is an old model that is only available to affiliates who signed up before September 2005
Wager Share – There is no change here!
Wager Share is based on how much the player wagers in the casino and is calculated on a different percentage per game typePurchase Share – There is no change here!
Purchase Share is based on how much the player deposits (purchases)Profit Share – Changed!
Profit Share is based a % split of the bottom line profits – This is where we have made a change!! Profit Share is now called Casino Revenue Share and is calculated on Casino Revenue. The reason for the change was to simplify the model to be identical to industry regular Rev Share models. Over the last year we have been approached by many affiliates, new and old for a regular Revenue Share Model as opposed to our Profit Share model which was not clear, as well as had negative carry over from month to month.
Summary of Profit Share versus the new Casino Revenue Share
Profit-Share model
- All brands grouped together
- Negative balances are carried over
- Deduction of operational costs – earnings calculated on profit generated
- 40%-60% of profit
New Casino Revenue Share model
- All brands grouped together
- No negative balances – at the end of the month negatives are zeroed
- No deduction of operational costs – earnings are calculated on Casino Revenue
- 25%-35% of Casino Revenue
New Casino Revenue Share Tiers
1-10 New Players = 25%
11-25 New Players = 30%
26+ New Players = 35%We notified all the Profit Share affiliates about the changes before making the changes public on our site and we have offered these affiliates a guaranteed 35% for the next 3 months, not only that but any negative amounts that these affiliates have at the end of this month will be zeroed off. This will allow affiliates to start with a clean slate from 1 August 2007. We have also mailed all the Wager Share and Purchase Share affiliates and extended the 35% offer to them should they change to the new model.
We view this change as a highly positive move and we have had some really great feedback from existing affiliates. I also want to point out that we are always open to negotiation and can structure specific deals for affiliates who deliver top quality traffic.

Fortune Affiliates Program ManagerJuly 26, 2007 at 4:04 pm #743709AnonymousInactiveWell seems all pretty fair to me if they did notify the affiliates before they made these changes, after Dov post I can understand this whole thing a bit more as well. Seems like at the end of the day they have affiliates interest in mind here with the change and are not out to screw anyone.
I know earnings have been down here but that is the case with several casinos over the last few months, I just hope this will help affiliates pick up earnings again:)
July 26, 2007 at 4:22 pm #743713AnonymousInactiveI’m not sure I’m any less confused to be honest. You say only profit share has changed but then you have classic rev share and something you call “new casino rev share”. What is this and how does it differ from the classic rev share?
July 26, 2007 at 6:41 pm #743729AnonymousInactiveWhichever way you look at it it’s “opt in” so affiliates have the choice. Gonna stick with Classic purely because the Profit Share bundles the casinos, but each to their own. It’s good to have a choice IMO :hattip:
July 26, 2007 at 7:36 pm #743734AnonymousInactiveThank you, Dov, for clarifying the changes Also – thank you for notifying ‘Profit Share’ affiliates about the changeover. This is the type of effort at transparency that affiliates need to be successful.
August 1, 2007 at 11:03 am #744206AnonymousInactiveHi Dov,
Iam on the Profit Share but for some reson i was not notified and my account are not zeroed at the end of last month.
Please take a look and fix the problem.
Thank you and have a nice day.
August 1, 2007 at 11:36 am #744207AnonymousInactiveDCBonus – you probably want to post that in their forum. They will likely not see it here Good luck.
