    hello all,

There were some interesting alerts on the AGD system this morning… February 28th alerts show that Fortune Affiliates has made some major changes to their FAQ’s.. What is surprising to me, though, is that the Predatory Term is one of the ones that was NOT changed.

How many players must I refer to you?

To keep your account active you need to refer at least 1 new active player in a 3 month rolling period.

OK…… The LIST of Changes to the FAQ…… Please give us your feedback..

    1. Poker Rev-Share Commissions

    [ORIGINAL]

How are Poker rev-share commissions calculated?

    2. Poker CPA Commissions

    [ORIGINAL]

How are Poker CPA payments calculated?
When you deliver a player to PokerTime you will be paid up to $200 for each of them. As soon as the player earns 250 raked hand credits, you are paid the first installment of $100. Next, when the player reaches 2,000 raked hands, the second payment of $100 is paid, making your total earnings for the player – $200!

THIS SECTION IS COMPLETELY MISSING NOW – REMOVED FROM FAQ.

    3. Who is PokerTime / Prima Poker

    [ORIGINAL]

    Who is Prima Poker?
Prima Poker is part of Microgaming, the worlds leading and preferred supplier of online gaming solutions. Microgaming developed Prima Poker software based on the same sound technology and industry knowledge that has made each of the company’s offerings a world leader in the field. Prima Poker is no different- all of our poker clients make use of Prima Poker software.

As the most trusted name in online gaming, Microgaming continues to set the standard in fair play, transparency initiatives and the promotion of responsible gaming. Like all Microgaming products, Prima Poker software incorporates cutting edge technology and rich interface features to bring you the best in online poker.

    [CHANGED TO:]

    Who is PokerTime?
PokerTime is a culmination of multiple brands into one single premier brand. It is part of the Microgaming network which runs on the same sound technology and industry knowledge that has made each of the company’s offerings a world leader in the field.

    4. Poker Revenue Sharing

    [ORIGINAL]

What revenue percentage will I receive?
Poker affiliates will receive commission based on the following guidelines:

Net Gaming Revenue (Net Rake) Commission Tier:

    1. $0 – $20,000 30%
    2. $20,001 or more 35%

    5. Reading Poker Stats

    [ORIGINAL]

    NOTHING IN FAQ ORIGINALLY

    [CHANGED TO:]

How do I read my Poker stats?
Once you log into your affiliate account, your poker stats are available at the bottom of the page.

    The following columns appear:

Visitors – Visitors to our poker clients from banners or other tagged marketing material on your websites.
Downloads – Visitors who clicked through and downloaded our poker merchant’s software.
New Real Accounts – New player accounts successfully opened during that period.
New Active Accounts – New accounts for the period specified that have successfully gone on to purchase, wager or generate rake.
Total Active Accounts – Total accounts to date that are purchasing, wagering or generating rake in the specified month.
Net Gaming Revenue (Net Rake) – A combination of purchasing and non-purchasing rake generated by your players less fraud charges and bonuses received by the referred player.
Income – The income that you have earned after the commission has been calculated. Please review FAQ for how commissions are calculated.

    6. Can I Lose Money in Poker?

    [ORIGINAL]

Can I lose money in poker?
No! Unlike casinos, poker players win money from each other- so there are no surprises at the end of each month. In poker there are also no negative carry over’s. The only deductions that can occur are those that are incurred in the case of fraudulent players and bonuses received by referred players.

    7. What happens when a player receives a bonus?

    [ORIGINAL]

What happens when my player receives a sign up bonus or a monthly bonus?
Should a player receive a sign up bonus, this amount is deducted off your affiliate account because essentially our merchants bare the hard cost of each comp. To counteract this we do pay affiliates on non-purchasing rake (see above).

    [CHANGED TO:]

    8. Sub-Affiliates

    [ORIGINAL]

What is a sub-affiliate (2nd tier) and how do I register them?
A Sub-Affiliate is someone other than you (or a company in which you are a majority stockholder) that promotes our casino and poker clients underneath you. You will receive credit for any sub-affiliates registered beneath you. Your sub affiliates will get paid the standard rate. However, because you signed them up, you will receive 2% commission of whatever revenue they generate.
Signing up sub affiliates is easy. Simply visit our marketing resources section for more info.

That’s a TON of changes!!! Most are Poker-related, though.

Thanks for taking the time to read through…

Nice to see they dropped the amount for the wire to $250 ,that is reasonable considering the high cost for wires.

I have had alot of positive dealings with Marvyn lately and find he is very fair.He said in another thread the FAQ was oversight in relation to the 1 active player every 3 months so hopefully they will fix it soon as it seems to be the only concern we all have about them.

I am in Canada so I cant comment on how the usa players are getting paid but they seem to be one of the groups that still pay in a timely manner.

Thank you for this very detailed update, kwblue. I don’t work with Fortune Affiliates myself, but I’m sure the people who do will find this useful.

    Hi;

The reason for all the changes is that we have had to review our Poker earnings model due to the brand consolidation into Pokertime.

If any of our affiliates would like further explanation on this please speak to your account or relationship managers, or contact support.

The FAQ regarding the number of players to be referred is going to be removed in this week.

    Cheers,

    Marvyn H

    Hi Marvin,

players come first. and first you’ve got to address the situation brought up at CM .. and another thread here at CAP.

you can’t pick and choose your players based on the fact that they play by your own set rules ….and then pull the rug out from under them.

personally I hate bonuses …. bonus chasers …. the whole idea.

but if you’re gonna dabble in such practice …. then practice what you preach. to my knowledge. this issue has yet to be righted.
