escapeMemberAfter seeing it hyped to bits at the 2009 LAC, I invested in some sites and quality content and have been seeing steady traffic ever since. As for earnings, they’ve been negligible. The few sign ups I see seldom generate much or a bit CPA. I’m still seeing it hyped on a regular basis. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I’ve pretty much written it off as a massive earner.

InactiveThanks.. Im usually after niches where you can make money from your players at a greater rate per hour, with all the work you put in, you want to see that returned quickly!

escapeMemberThe CTR to conversions is way lower than on any of my gaming sites. Actually, thinking about it, the one session we went to at that LAC had a Forex affiliate, he said he made more money from the AdSense on his site than the Forex, and he was supposedly a top example. I would say the same, i’ve made more from the AdSense than the Forex. There are other trading niches that do better though – Betting on indexes seems to do a lot better than actual Forex and commodities, for me at least.

By Betting Indexes, you mean betting on where the market will go up or down by x points?
I’ve heard of a bunch of different affiliate products eg
forex
binary trading
betting indexesGlad I didn’t jump into forex… but betting indexes, if that is betting on where the market will go up or down looks like an interesting niche – just need to see how much work is involved in me making a $100 for it, and how long it would take as opposed to other affiliate industries.
That’s what it comes down to for me, how much work is needed from my user to make me the affiliate $100.

escapeMemberYes, you’re right – betting on those sort of trade / commodity / indices etc. BetOnMarkets.com is the best known of those sort of sites – but lots of others offer it, such as Ladbrokes. i’ve not really done much in that niche, but I’ve made a few pounds with what I’ve done. I don’t think currently there’s much volume in that niche to make it worth digging in further.
