InactiveWhen they piss me off by spamming over and over I get their aff tag or give the site name to each and every aff manager and ask to get a leash put on the freak!

There is this one guy that has spammed my sites one time too many…
He always uses http://www.reallifelog.com/scasinoonlineu and I am sick of it…
Any suggestions of what I can do?
Is it spamming in comments? Or Forum posts?
Do you have the facility to block all posts that contain a certain string (like reallifelog.com ) ??
Or perhaps a blocked words filter where you could consider reallifelog.com as a swear word? After all it’s certainly making you swear about it …
:wink-winkThere should be different ways to block these specific posts depending on the product …

InactiveThe only filter right now is manually checking the submissions before approval. It would be handy to add some kind of filter to prevent this happenning but that will take time to develop.

InactiveHey Simon
I have a blog and that guy spammed me in 70 comments yesterday. If you find an answer please let me know. I have been just making them as ‘spam’ but if there is a way to just get rid of the guy I would ratehr do that than waste my time on him.

I’m going to forward all of these to the main website. And if they can’t get them to stop I’ll forward them onto the domain registrar or something. over it!

supervinceMemberIf its a wordpress blog just activate your Akismet plugin. It does a great job catching spam for me.

InactiveWell I sent all of the links in the comments to the guys who run that site and they have closed all of the accounts. They told me to just keep forwarding them through so they can try to combat the spam.
Simon maybe you could do that too if you have time? The email i sent to was info [at] reallifelog dot com
It’s a wordpress blog but I can’t seem to find the API key that I need to activate that plugin.

You have to register at wordpress.com. Once you login you will see the global dashboard (looks just like wp-admin) with just dashboard and profile tabs. Click on the profile tab and you will see “Your WordPress.com API key is: xxxxxxxxxxxx. Don’t share your API key, it’s like a password.” Your api key is also sent to your email address when you register.
