i’ve been promoting them for a few months. of all the poker sites that i promote, they charge the most fees. there are some fees that i’ve never even heard of. if they wan’t any affiliate help whatsoever, they need to change their commission structure. as it stands now, most affiliates give them very low coverage. they use the same network as pokerroom.com. i’ve noticed that my player value at pokerroom.com is twice that of hollywood poker. so of course, i send most of my traffic to pokerroom. send an email to your affiliate manager and let him know your situation and that you are considering a removal of hollywood’s banners. maybe he’ll give you a special deal.
I emailed them about this weeks ago and got a reply that they are working on changing this. I just emailed them again yesterday, funny enough, before seeing this thread, will update when I hear something.
Their fees are highway robbery!!
Darn, too late to pull them from the new page I have in the works – it’s about to go live.
I hate it when I have to start pulling right after publishing…
Sam just emailed me back saying he’s restructuring the affiliate program to have less fees. I’ve gotten rid of so many rooms lately I almost have no choice but to hold off and not pull them yet :laughing:
Seriously, I gave Sam the link to this thread and told him he should update everyone!
Since they are on pokerroom backend, i contacted pokerroom and asked about fees taken out, seems they take out 45% as a standard.
Guess I should ask more questions before adding more sites.

Both casinos and poker and bingos too need to be screened with a fine toothed comb to find flaws in the program.
Finding programs with forthright, beneficial T&Cs is becoming as important as SEO.
Even ones we promoted happily for years suddenly fall into undesireable categories.
That means that if we don’t re-evaluate periodically we may be throwing hard earned visitors to the wolves.
It looks like hollywood poker ‘made-up fees’ even beats my phone company Telia in sweden. Nice work hollywood poker :shooter: One more pokersite will be visit my trash can.
I find such fees totally unacceptable and would never send traffic to a program that charges them. They have no business being part of the formula.

I’ve made up my mind though. I’m not going to allow a program that is sticking it to me to enjoy the same space as honorable programs.
