Vegas Affiliates cross marketing

robmaxMemberI don’t understand what you’re complaining about here? If a casino is able to generate traffic and hype on their own without affiliates, why should they have to pay the affiliates for that traffic?
The only way I could see this being unfair is if they set up the affiliate program but didn’t start tracking for a week or so, because then they would have gotten players from affiliates that they didn’t deserve.

robmaxMemberOh okay, gotcha. Good point on that – I thought you were referring to a brand new casino that wasn’t on a network.

PredictemMemberFor real ? – this has to be a level
Pokerrooms/Casinos are in the business of extracting the highest margins form all angles – why would they NOT do this ?
I look for casinos that either have a very passive crossell policy, that have a cross product rev share (such as Betfair) however am very conscious of the fact that it is any groups aim to ultimately cut out the middle man. The long term sustainability of any business is based around this. Online marketing is a CHURN business by its very nature – this type of thing is par for the course.

InactiveI agree that casinos should be free to do this without affiliates if that’s what they want. But if they try to cross-market to existing players without credit for the original affiliate tags, then that isn’t good.

Fair point – If the player was/is an active player then moved, this would be stepping into dangerous ground.
