I think Captain brought up some very good points in the GPWA freshman area regarding the hood winking of newbies by selling them fake traffic.

If the sale of that traffic wasn’t disgusting enough in itself what I found even more repugnant was when several senior affiliates including a certain manager tried to portray the traffic they KNEW was shitty as a good buy for those webmasters on a fixed budget!!!!

Gee what a great way to stand up for the “little guy” trying to break into the business. Lets steal the few pennies they do have to advertise and convince them that its THEIR fault for not converting that shit traffic to sales “Gee Kid, you didnt have a decent landing page!”

    What shit birds! :cuss: :shooter:

This was one of the reasons I did not want to be a member of the GPWA any longer. It is disgusting to see a so called manager and a couple other members pushing this fraudulent traffic to trusting struggling members that can’t afford to lose this money. The GPWA has lost all credibility that I don’t think will ever be regained.

OMG – that totally reaks … I understand why the new manager ie eager to kiss the X’s butt – hell he wants a piece of the pie so-to-speak … e.g. he has something to gain off all the newbies.

    That is really sad …

I have a traffic sales site aimed at more general sales than gambling as a sideline. Unfortunately it does almost squat.

I have an idea as to which source of traffic you are talking about here if it involves an online quote system and geotargeting?

This particular source provides great stats, user friendly interface and outrageous pricing structures (from around $7-$12/1000 approx. for gambling traffic).

Now I have tried this traffic and many many others for more general and gambling related promotions.

It does not convert for me at all. I get better results from wholesale $2/1000 US targeted gambling traffic than this supposedly premium market.

Yes, your ad does make all the difference but not that much.

If I am to believe correctly, then newbie webmasters are being led to purchase traffic via GPWA members/management?

Bought traffic is a trial and error situation and some offer 10% guaranteed open email rates (can’t figure that out….).

As a newbie your budget is tight and my only recommendation is for supplementary traffic as a purchase, hell I have bought 20k hits on occassions with zilch results and herein lies the crux..it is a GAMBLE!

Most traffic is from affiliates of affiliates so equals $+$ extra on top of what you can pay for the same traffic.

Today I saw a site that offered one of the supplier source traffic I (think) have access to for $18/1000 advertised as super targeted US casino traffic.

    THAT is fraud!

A thought that you can put up a site and make money from bought traffic without the grunt just doesn’t happen. Marketing and a strategy will.

    Maybe I am wrong. Dunno.
