Wow this sucks… I’m not familiar with Facebook rules but… are you sure they allow online casino propaganda / groups?

It happened to me as well! I have a history facebook page, and it covers everything historical, no discrimination. One of the topics was about Hitler, with a picture to go with it. FB banned me from posting for 3 or 7 days. They actually banned my facebook user account attached to the from posting anywhere on FB, but kept the page going.

It wasn’t reported, I think they used some sort of algorithim, made a new jerk reaction and bam! But losing an entire page – now that is just bad.

Just like you – didnt break any terms. No recourse either.

I’ve noticed a different FB “trick”.

My sports betting / gambling page is still active, but it’s been surreptitiously removed / dropped from peoples page lists on their left-hand navigation panel, so that they cannot just click and go to the page.

You can still find it on facebook if you search for it, and the “like” buttons on site seem to work.
People still see our posts in their threads if we make new ones, but cannot simply click and see the page.

    Frustrating … and probably anti-competitive.

Man Allfreechips I am so sorry, that is BS. I like your FB page and I even occasionally leave a nice comment or two as CBR. My stuff seems to be unaffected, and from what you guys have explained, I would agree that it is an algorithmic automated thing going on. If I had to guess… never mind I can’t because Facebook makes no sense at all. :(

So will the site be returned to you when the bonus penalty time has been finished AFC?

Gooner: Sorry as well bud, you page is especially legit. Are you saying that even when people see your new posts, clicking on them does nothing?

Rak: Leave it to publicly traded enterprises to smash educational resources for money… never happened before lol.

Question to all of you, 1. how much do you use Facebook outside your pages as your personal account? 2. You business pages are pages right? and not personal accounts.

No, mine has been deleted, re-building round 2 now. I had a penalty, then I appealed asking where the issue is as no terms were violated and I would correct anything they feel is wrong. then I got a notice the ban was reduced from my appeal. Then a day later it was unpublished and there was no recourse other than a simple appeal button with no comments. That failed and it was removed.

Facebook is a big joke. Having no point of contact is a big joke. Having weird rules like no aps on business pages, when they convince you to get a business page and you end up stuck in a quagmire is a big joke.. The sooner facebook becomes yesterdays news the better!.. I personally despise it. :D

Chip I have seen a friend of mine posting to help her get some points on your contest , is it possible having people doing this caused you to be classified as spam?

I think that’s what did it but they never told him exactly what happened. Sadly FB is as bad as Google when it comes to transparency.

Backstory: I helped afc set up the original FB account and get him started. My personal account remained an admin account on his FB page and when this happened my personal account was banned for 12 hours. Thankfully not the same fate as his or I would have lost years of personal info and all my business pages.

That’s probably it right there. A chip can be considered virtual currently or even real money. Rewarding someone on Facebook for their actions with real money is against their terms. Perhaps other companies disclaim the monetary value when the user signs up for the app, where as you were publicly rewarding for their actions. I see this all the time, but have not seen it effect anyone’s page, so this idea based on your idea is a shot in the dark as well.

I will do you one better sir…

Liked and shared as Jared Bates (personal)
    Liked as CBR page
My wife Danielle will do the same from her personal and business pages.

    Allfreechips must live on!

I have been jerked around by google for so long that this episode with facebook does not surprise me in the least. In the past, I too have lost many hours of ‘by the rules’ effort from both of these online ‘powers’. With such apparently capricious actions you always have to remember that we are on ‘their’ platforms for ‘free’ and are prone to their whims. You cannot put all of your ‘eggs into one basket’ with these asshats. Yes, we must have a presence on fb, twitter and g+ but they are not really reliable.

The lack of reliable answers and recourse is particularly infuriating.

Any news dfiocch? Did it come back yet?
    This is getting worse…
Maybe mine is gone too *checks* no its still there…
But I guess at any moment *poof* Facebook/Google slapped :shooter:

I can only image what seeking recourse, let alone answers from FB would be like, but I actually talked to people from Google on the phone that were not just with Adwords. Maybe if you write them the right letter to the right address you can get answers, or maybe the one person I know and a bit of luck was all that was in play.

I feel like Google has been jerking us all around with letting spammers out rank our quality websites we work hard to maintain, after constantly making us scramble in preparation for their updates that should stop what they are cultivating. Have you seen the latest in poor quality sites that are high in the Serps? Seems like new ones pop up all the time. It makes muffin very angry…

Sorry to go “off”, I just really feel bad for Allfreechips and I resonate with rmeeuwsen’s comment deeply.

This will hopefully make us all feel better =D

Hey sorry to hear what’s happened, that sucks mate!

Given FaceBook have closed other affiliates fan pages on the pretext they don’t spend a minimum of $10K a month in advertising, maybe this is their new softer approach. That is, make up any BS as long as it contravenes their AUP and TOS.

Albeit they can do what they like. Still it’s a sh#tty thing to do, given most of affiliates invest a lot of time. Going forward every gambling affiliate runs the risk of having their fan page yanked. It’s the same principle to why we all own our domains and hosting them ourselves.

You can get a free wordpress.com site but you always run the risk of it being closed at a moments notice.
