InactiveI created a FB page last month for a site I updated and it got listed in Google really quickly. In the first month it has just a couple dozen likes so I don’t think it matters how many likes you have.

InactiveI thought likes might be important, I’m sorta trying to think what google might have up their sleeves…
my thinking is..the more popular something is in the social networking circles, it means its popular by the people – so it would rank higher?

bonuscasinozobMemberMy facebook page is indexed and ranks nicely for my brand name. I think I have like 195 “likes” so nothing crazy. The benefit of getting likes is simply more eyes on your stuff. The more people that see it – the better chance someone will spread it to their friends, and so on…

I was thinking of focusing on getting my likes increased, but I wasn’t sure if that was the right way to go about things on facebook pages.
At the moment I post articles to my FB page, the next thing for me would be to get people on fb to “like” my page I guess and interact with the information?

InactiveJust wanted to clarify what I was saying when I mentioned “I don’t think it matters how many likes you have” … that was in relation to getting the page indexed. Obviously the more likes the page gets the better.

Inactivefacebook page has now appeared in the google serps. Less than 36hrs?

not in bingpage was not submitted to google to index, was organically found.
am going to do some stuff to the facebook page, like grow it, link to it.. and see if it ranks for anything, or its meta description changes in google serps.

- I haven’t updated my money site in 2 months
- I created a Facebook page, got 50 people from my friends list to like it, had articles posted to it, which links back to my money site.
- Added my domain to the facebook page
- Got 25 friends to google plus like me in the search engines
result was.. my domain jumped from 13 in the SERPs to 7

bosshoggsMemberThose stats are phenomenal! Any updates on how much the traffic to your site has increased?

InactiveThat is impressive – wonder if the results were related to the facebook likes or the google +s’ … Did you do anything else that might have also affected the results?
Had considered having friends and other affiliates trade likes, but decided against it thinking it would be better to get “real” likes that might potentially become real customers, but seeing those results I might want to start sharing likes.
